I'm reminded of some of my stock purchases, (the vast majority of my financial type investments have been in low-load mutual funds, but occasionally I've decided to buy some individual company stocks). The mediocre Cyanotechs, Cisco's, Weyerhaeuser's, Global Marine (which surged into RIG, then failed as I was not watching the Fracking revolution) all become a bit,,,, "irrelevant" after considering the current value of the Microsoft purchase. In other words, one does not have to win all bets, some big winners erase MANY errors.
