Tell that to the people who experience gender dysphoria in their childhood and early teens. No one chooses to be an outcast, to be labeled 'abnormal' by their narrow minded peers. Even though your number and description is wrong (it's estimated to be around 0.6% in the US), how do you suggest we treat people like that? So, do you accept that the victim experienced gender dysphoria? The one with a 'problem' in that story is not the transgender boy. Here's my take. Let those people live the way they feel is best for them. Don't perform irreversible surgical changes on children, but don't tell them that they are wrong or mentally ill. And no, that doesn't mean it's 'normal', but it is real and the rest of us need to treat them with the same love and kindness we would treat any other kid. -- Malte Runz
