I believe there have been scientific experiments that prove complex
forms can evolve spontaneously from simple entities

maybe so, but consider.. of all the trillions upon trillions of galactic
bodies that exist this intelligence picks ours to amuse itself with. So
it creates a complex ecosystem, with the highest trophic level being
dinosaurs. But unfortunately they're all destroyed by one of the
celestial bodies he created. Guess God didn't see that coming. Never
mind, he tries again, and decides to create humans. However, they prove
not as durable or resilient as the former reptiles, as they succumb to
natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, famines, etc., and the myriad
diseases he created. And as if that's not enough, they also have a
distinct propensity to kill each other. God is not doing so well, is he?
What next I wonder.
