no, an agnostic is simply someone who says he does not know if there is 
a God (or God exists). an atheist is someone who has a belief that God 
does not exist, or does not not have a belief that God exists. the 
former relates to knowledge, the later to belief. _Bart Ehrman_ 
describes himself as an agnostic atheist.
