Citizens get to vote on issues sometimes.  Legislatures may
propose referendums for voter approval, not to mention local
bond issues.  More enlightened states have citizen voter
initiative processes.  This allows the people to take direct
action on issues that elected reps are afraid to act upon.

Not so.  Congress by law required Alligator Auschwitz to do
an environmental impact statement and get approval from EPA,
Corps of Engineers, and probably other agencies.  The state
didn't do it, and of course the Trump regime didn't care that
they were acting illegally.  That's why a judge had to shut
it down.

FAA, TSA, CBP, EPA, FCC, NTSB, DHS, FBI, Army Corps of
Engineers, FEMA.
