What do you get scientifically from your ideas beyond "God did it"?

But we can't truly make our own choices if we're deceived, can we?

What's wrong with it?  If God agreed to appear on national television
and show everyone how they're being deceived by Satan, there would be
no more deception because everyone would know what's true.  That's not
what we have now, though, obviously.  What's your explanation for
that?
