We had a bmw motorcycle and a car. My sister loved that car. It had the
sloppiest shift.

I had a friend long time ago who I’ve lost contact with. She was
model-level beautiful, but didn’t act like it at all. (My roommate was in
love with her, which is when she disappeared from our lives as soon as she
learned about that). Anyway, she drove an old bmw hoop-d (in which almost
nothing worked well), and one day in winter we were driving somewhere in it
and it was freezing out, so I asked if she could turn on the heat. She
replied “it’s on”. So I stuck my hands in front of the vent, and told her
I felt no heat, nothing coming from the vents at all. She responded “it’s
ON” and after a pause of a few seconds later, she added “It’s IMPLIED
heat”. Still to this day one of my favorite/funniest things I’ve ever
heard anyone say, I still remember it more than 30 years later.
