Car stops, motor stops

I just noticed recently that whenever I stop my 2019 Kona at traffic 
light for instance, the motor also stops. Then when I move my foot from 
the brake pedal to gas,  the motor is restarted again. I've heard this 
is a gas saving feature in some newer cars, but I did not think my 
5-year old Kona was among them. Now I am not sure this feature was there 
from the beginning, or as a result of some recent software update at the 
service center. Anybody knows of this?
