Let's look at how this tracking works in Google Analytics. Then we'll walk =
through the options you have available for tracking downloads. We'll start =
with the easiest solutions, and end with the most difficult. But just a qui=
ck note, this article is related to tracking downloads in Universal Analyti=
cs, if you need to track downloads in Google Analytics 4 you can refer to t=
his article.

Event tracking is how you tell Google Analytics to record user behavior tha=
t doesn't automatically trigger your tracking code. Usually, events are act=
ions on the pages of your website. Common examples of events include video =
views, page scrolling, or file downloads.

If you have GTM on your website, all you need to do to track your downloads=
is create an event trigger. The trigger will record an event in Google Ana=
lytics every time a visitor clicks your download link.

This expression tells the trigger to fire if any of these extensions are pr=
esent in your URLs. So, if someone clicks a link on your site that contains=
.pdf or .xlxs, etc. this trigger will fire. And that action will record a =
download event in Google analytics.

Tracking downloads using GTM is a very straightforward process. And it's th=
e industry standard for measuring this type of event. If you're looking for=
more GTM information you can check out our Google Tag Manager Tutorial, to=
o.

My client wishes to track PDF download. I remember you talking about that. =
The best way is to use Google Tag Manager. Alas, I am stuck with Google Ana=
lytics. So I need to set up Event Tracking I believe.

Here's an example of what your code would need to communicate with Google A=
nalytics to track your downloads. (This is not the actual code for this ope=
ration. This example is written using a computer science technique known as=
 pseudocode.)

Let us know, which one of these tacking techniques works best for you? Leav=
e a comment below with method you use for track downloads. Also, if you use=
a strategy we didn't cover, share it in the comments. We'll continue to ex=
pand this post with your recommendations.

Plus, the work search process is very easy. Just make it part of your weekl=
y habit when you certify and you can continue to receive benefits. The tech=
nology requirements are the same and both can be done on a computer or with=
the free smartphone apps on your phone.

Work search is a South Carolina requirement for individuals who are receivi=
ng Unemployment Insurance (UI). It is the simple act of reading two job pos=
ts each week while logged into their personal SC Works Online Services (SCW=
OS) account.

The work search requirement was turned back on April 18, 2021. Claimants ha=
ve from Sunday to Saturday each week to log in to their SCWOS account and c=
onduct two work searches. Every week that a person claims UI benefits, they=
will need to do the two work searches. If someone certifies their week (co=
nfirms that they are still unemployed), but does not complete the work sear=
ch requirement, it could affect their eligibility and their benefit payment=
s could stop.

Anyone receiving state UI or on the PEUC program must complete the two week=
ly work searches, and some PUA program claimants are required to complete t=
he two weekly work searches -- see the chart below for the reason you are p=
art of the program to see if you are required to do the work search.

All individuals on the PUA program are encouraged to complete the two work =
searches. It helps people get familiar with companies and businesses that a=
re hiring and the types of jobs that are available. However, there are some=
people who are on the PUA program who have situations that may not allow t=
hem to work at this time. These situations also excuse them from the work s=
earch requirement weekly. See the chart below.

24 hours after completing the work search in SCWOS, go to the "Confirmation=
History" tab in your MyBenefits portal where you certify each week. If the=
re is a "Y" listed under "SC Work Search Confirmation" this means that your=
searches have been recorded. If there is a "N" listed, this may indicate t=
hat your 2 accounts aren't connected. Follow the steps below to see if your=
SCWOS account and MyBenefits portal are connected.

If you are an Unemployment Insurance claimant, SCWOS is where you need to l=
ogin and conduct two weekly job searches to avoid interruption in your bene=
fits. The weekly job search requirement was reinstated April 18, 2021.

Starting April 18, 2021, the two weekly job search requirement in SCWOS (SC=
Works Online Services) will begin. Claimants are required to complete this=
each week, by law, in order to remain eligible for UI benefits.

In addition to sharing free teacher resources (which are teacher created re=
sources) in the form of teacher worksheets, we share new YouTube math video=
s every week that help math teachers and students to better understand math=
ematics and the common core. Our lessons can be aligned with the common cor=
e standards for common core mathand are immensely popular with flipped lear=
ning educators and anyone experimenting with flipped classroom learning.
