restore old Nero data backup without Nero and with original file names?

Is there a way to restore old Nero backups (2006) without Nero software 
(with the original filenames)?

I have an old data backup from 2006 that I made with Nero. I want to 
restore the files. The only difference is that I no longer have the Nero 
software.

Nero as a test version cannot restore old backups and the corresponding 
extension is chargeable.

The files could also be restored without Nero (replace the file 
extensions nco with zip). But the file names are saved in the 8.3 format 
and the original filenames are saved in a Nero file (extension nbi).
