I have an early 70s banjo and have played it successfully for years biomass= stage and in studio. It=E2=80=99s heavy as shot but loud crisp sound dies= it for me. It=E2=80=99s my only banjo so nothing to compare to but I like= the sound. Mostly I=E2=80=99m a pedal steel player.=20 Ted Stern
