Barney rides the elevator

 Barney the Dinosaur embarks on an adventure by taking a ride in an undergr=
ound parking garage elevator "Oh don't worry kids, we have a few hours befo=
re the hurricane makes landfall."

 Barney then rides the elevator when there is a bang, a jolt, and a flicker=
, and the cab slowly decends down past the lowest underground level and com=
es to rest at the bottom of the shaft. Because of mismatched construction p=
lans between the shaft and the garage that was supposed to have a 4th under=
ground level that was never built, the bottom of the shaft is deeper than n=
ormal to accomodate the non existent level. The roof hatch is sealed from t=
he outside to stop potential vandalism and elevator surfing related lawsuit=
s, and the doors open up to a blank concrete wall.

 Several hours after Barney tries to get "Mister Elevator Repair Man" to co=
me help him out his quagmire over the non working emergency phone, and ring=
ing the bell no one hears because everyone had evacuated, the Cat-5 hurrica=
ne makes landfall. All power goes out, and Barney soon feels something wet =
on his feet. The elevator is filling with water, and the level soon gets up=
 to his chin, and then all the way to the top of the cab and beyond.

 2 days after the hurricane passed, they are still pumping out the complete=
ly submerged underground parking and not long after they find Barney's bloa=
ted purple corpse in the steel elevator cab.
