Shorts: Preaching for profits
Being an ordinary preacher of a local church can be quite a racket.
They usually get a paid salary plus benefits and housing allowances,
utilities, all furnishes
The average salary for preachers in 2025 was around $59,000.

For example, Baptists received from $45,000 to $85,000.
Catholics $36,000 to 42,000 Plus all their needs met like housing,
food, transportation, medical etc, etc.
Jehovah's Witnesses of a congregation: zero, ($00.00)
They claim and REALLY DO follow the Bible.
What does God's inspired written Word have to say about local
religious leaders of a church or congregation getting paid for their
religious services?
God's Son, Jesus, whose teachings the clergy should be somewhat
familiar with, made this statement at Mt 10:8,
"...You received without paying, give without pay." (RSV)
So from the mind of Christ comes the command to "give without pay".
(that doesn't mean all secular work, just church Bible teachings)
