Psalm 7: Main Idea 2

Psalm 7 is an appeal to God for divine justice, protection, and vindication against false accusations. King David cries out to the LORD as the righteous Judge who examines the human heart, defending the innocent and executing righteous judgment against the unrepentant wicked.

The psalm moves from a cry for personal refuge to a declaration of confidence in God's universal justice. David maintains his integrity, asking to be judged according to his righteousness while recognizing that God's judgment ultimately turns the malicious intent of the evil back upon their own heads. The passage concludes with praise for the LORD's righteousness, affirming that true justice resides in Him alone.
