I highly suspect there's nothing wrong with the /newsreader/...

...just that they intentionally have it configured to put snowflakes in 
for quotes instead of a proper angle 
bracket-that-turns-into-a-vertical-line-when-read, as well as 
/also/-intentionally set up to break the 80-column limit. (Not to 
mention, they insist on creating subject lines that take up all but 2 
lines of a normal client's message window, which is annoying as hell).

It still annoys me to no end, but it's not bad programming, it's 
actively being a jerk.

And I'm even supposed to be on their side in this, but I'd still like it 
better if they held to traditional Usenet etiquette.
