Just saw a 
cryptanthus. 

Couldn't tell you which variety off the top of my head, but its a fairly
common one. You can tell them by their growth pattern, which is basically
if you took an agave, and made it non-succulent. They have the same kind of
thorns, and put out their leaves in the same kind of rosette as an agave
does, but their leaves are all thin. They also make excellent terrarium
plants. they enjoy constant moisture, and are almost totally immune to root
rot.
