I'm rereading _The Caves of Steel_ for the first time in nearly eight years. Coming at it (relatively) fresh, I'm picking up on things that I'd previously overlooked. The one that brought this to mind was the fact that R. Daneel was "[...] constructed for the purpose of cerebroanalysis." This line lays the groundwork for what Asimov would do over thirty years later in _The Robots of Dawn_. I absolutely do not believe that this was devious advance planning, but it did turn out rather handy. -- Michael F. Stemper A preposition is something you should never end a sentence with.
