A standalone fantasy book, no sequel or prequel.  I read the well 
printed and well bound hardback published in 2005 by Del Rey.

I believe that this is OSC's first fantasy book but am not sure.  It is 
a documentary of a battle between the king of the fairies, Oberon, and 
the queen of the fairies, Titania, in a black neighborhood of Los 
Angeles.  Here is the marketing blurb:

"In a peaceful, prosperous African American neighborhood in Los Angeles, 
Mack Street is a mystery child who has somehow found a home. Discovered 
abandoned in an overgrown park, raised by a blunt-speaking single woman, 
Mack comes and goes from family to family–a boy who is at once
