Wow, what a welcoming community Anyway, I have an update. I resolved the dependency issues by upgrading all dependencies of the original SDK and replaced org.json with Gson. So far so good. I pushed the changes of the SDK to GitHub - lordyavin/threema-msgapi-sdk-java.

So, I thought it would be a good idea to post my threema-id to Facebook and tell everyone: "Hey if you want to connect your Threema, add me via 1F33OO7." Is this a good idea? Would that negatively effect my security somehow?


I like both but I have only ever been able to convince people beside my SO to use Signal because it is free. When you're trying to get people to use a new messaging service you want as little barrier of entry as possible and even just the small cost of threema is enough to turn folks away.
