ovel. Direction is the main trouble, I would see. The warmth of Taita and h=
is moods are going to be hard to recapture in this epic tale. The actors ar=
e secondary to direction, but they must be up to the sense of the urgency i=
n the book. This film would be a 2hr epic at least. If Spielberg could dire=
ct it might stand a chance. Sequels are a cinch if River God succeeds. Good=
