Apparently, wildfires are getting less frequent worldwide, not more, as 
the globe warms.

Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill that would have pushed California toward 
more strategic planning to prevent the worst wildfire damage, saying it 
would cost too much unbudgeted money.
