that only about 41% to 44% of Canadians view King Charles III with any 
degree of favor, putting him well behind the high approval ratings 
historically enjoyed by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, and behind other 
members of the royal family like Prince William. YMMV.

Why?

Canadians feel completely indifferent or just not invested when it comes 
to the King and royal visits and politics in general.

In politics Canadians are generally neither indifferent nor uninterested 
in politics, but engagement often looks quiet. Voter turnout usually 
sits between 60% and 70%, and many people follow national issues closely 
without joining loud public protests.
