There was a yellow tape between the self-check area & the nearest exit door. We walked around it, heading for the door, when a young woman told us we couldn't go out that way, that we must use the far door, even though our car was just outside. If the door was locked, I believe this is a violation of the fire code. After we went out the other door, she placed a large riding cart in front of the door, and a few minutes later moved the yellow tape to block access to the door. We talked with another employee on our way to the car; he said she was the manager. So why do I still shop at Safeway? I don't regularly, but they had our favorite ice cream & a few other items on sale. I hope everything I bought was a loss leader." - Barbara, Bennett Valley Creekside
