(They might allow that in the EU, but not even sure > about that.) There is a thing called The Schengen Area which is a zone of 29 European countries that have eliminated internal border controls, allowing over 450 million people to travel freely without passport checks. It operates under a common visa policy for short stays, though it is distinct from the European Union. Member Countries EU Members (25 countries): Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Non-EU Members (4 countries): Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Exclusions: Ireland keeps its own border rules, and Cyprus is working toward joining.
