I suspect that Bill meant it as constructive criticism as most of his
criticisms of the dems are.  He donated a million dollars to the
biden/himbo election.  Still, at that time, he was getting  dems on
his program and asking them, why don't they get tough like the r's,
why is it that the dems are so roundly hated in many parts of the
country?  

The most honest answer I heard was, if we do what they do, we become
like them.  I understand.  Principles matter.  What to do when so many
americans no longer care for principles?  When they actually cheer for
the asshole?

But, as I told wilson a few days ago, the continued nomination of DSA
candidates around the country, even in areas thought solidly
conservative, portends something.  It might even be that attitudes are
changing.  Maybe.  Watch out.
