Something just occurred to me. Trump did a speech at the NRA last year,
where he said “We did nothing, NOTHING, with guns during my presidency”
(Meaning, as a good thing, we protected your 2A by doing “nothing”). 
And he repeated “NOTHING!” several times, very emphatically. 

Does he not even know that he signed a regulation to ban bump stocks?
Nothing is a “promise” if you pretend you never said or did it.
