I usually register to vote for proof of residence.

There's proof of name, any photo ID line driver's license or state identifi=
cation, there's proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate and/or pr=
oper passport documents, then there is proof of residence.   I just feel li=
ke with a voter registration card is the ultimate show of hands because you=
 have to have the other two. Same as you need one or the other with just ci=
tizenship or name to get the other.
