https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15021003/Daredevil-CEO-dies-wingsuit.html A daredevil CEO has tragically died after colliding with trees when he jumped out of a helicopter in a wingsuit crash in the Swiss Alps. Kirk Hawkins, 58, who founded American aircraft manufacturer ICON Aircraft, jumped out of a helicopter along with three others near the peak of the Eiger summit on Tuesday. The American, who previously served as a U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, wore a wingsuit and glided along the east side of the Eiger range but later crashed to the ground, colliding with trees, and to his death. . . . What IS it with these thrill-seeking biz guys ? Charles Rolls (founder of Rolls-Royce) was the first recorded Brit to die in an airplane crash, in 1910. He loved to swoop his Wright Flyer just inches above the trees. Richard Branson has managed to cheat death in all his adventures - but just barely sometimes. The alpha personality comes with some perks, and some downside. We note that Elon Musk has never ridden one of his own rockets ... but he's more of a slide-rule ultra-nerd than a traditional 'alpha'.
