"Western" Civ LOSING Sci/Tech Edge - China/India Now at Forefront

   Jayawardhana ... not exactly a French or English or German
   name, is it ?

   Whatever edge EuroAmerica had back in the day was pissed
   away. The instant the Cold War was over everybody just
   figured they didn't have to DO shit anymore - no more
   history. It'd all be totally cool forever.

   Umm ... no.

   The war - literal and/or figurative - for World
   Dominance continued on. And no, it was NOT ok
   to fall behind.

   We did - They didn't.

   China and India used to steal western tech ... now
   we had better start stealing THEIRS.

   AI/Robotics - China is in the forefront. Other
   electronic tech, India does it faster and cheaper
   and increasingly better. Different perspectives,
   different funding/priority plans, different
   politics. For better or sometimes worse - the
   'east' is the new powerhouse. This is THEIR
   century.

   We may not LIKE that.

   USA ... H-1B people are the MOST DESIRED people
   for the remaining USA tech industry. Nothing Trump
   has done has changed this, it's only increasing no
   matter what restrictions/tariffs/etc are put in
   the way. US citizens are now POORLY educated and
   lazy yet expect a LOT of money for just showing up
   once in a while.

   That won't cut it.

   SO ... Europe/USA should realize that it's become
   sort of 2nd-world, esp in sci/tech. We did it to
   ourselves (with west-hating lefty help). Any good
   ideas - you sell 'em to China/India because that's
   where the profits come from. "Ideas" and "Real-World
   Products" ain't quite the same thing.

   Sorry USA/EU ... yer favorite god is NOT watching
   over you, will NOT guarentee your success.

   If Trump knows any space aliens, NOW is the time to
   leverage them to the max.
