Yea, not the greatest. However the brand is SO well established that everybody knows they exist and the customer base goes back 70 years - assuming all the grease and oil didn't kill the 70 year olds by now. The two obvious problems are (a) PRICES have become just ridiculous and (b) menu experimentation has been kind of a big FAIL. Whatever their supply chain, they need to find a MUCH cheaper one. Also drop states with ridiculous minimum wage laws, the left coast probably being the worst there. OTHER chains seem able to control their costs, but not McD. An adequate amount of adequate food for a bearable price ... that's how you make it work. Otherwise people will go to the NEXT drive ... to Chik or Wendy's or BK or Five Guys or maybe even a real restaurant. "Fast food" was never intended to be gourmet ... it just has to be quick, taste OK and kinda fill yer belly without draining yer wallet. It's for the big working-class, not the yacht-club crowd. Trump likes his cheeseburgers, and even though RFK tut-tuts him the things haven't killed the POTUS. DID probably contribute a bit to his, um, girth, however :-)
