That's they way I've lived my life. I've never had a car loan and yes, we drove beaters for a few years starting out. I've never bought a new car or truck, but quite a few two or three years old. I let the fools who buy new cars absorb the depreciation that occurs as they drive the new car away from the dealer's lot. The only loans I've ever had were the mortgages, but today I don't even have a mortgage. Our home is free and clear. The Visa card is handy, but it gets paid off completely every month. I used it a few weeks ago to schedule a trip we're taking. First class flight, medium size SUV rental, seven nights in good hotels. All reserved, all paid off before the ink was dry. >Modern people, NOT so wise. Always want to >live/appear MUCH more wealthy than they are. I have to laugh at the TV commercials I see advertising "no payments or interest until some future date. People must fall that ridiculous dishonest con job or the marketers wouldn't use it. >There IS a big impact and the commiesocialists >WON'T fix it. No such thing as "free money". The money I collect from my renters is sort of like free money. Needles to say that none of it is in NYC. -- Two kinds of people in the USA, today 1) Conservatives, whose glass is always half full. :) 2) Leftists, whose glass is always half empty. :(
