In my old apartment there was what was called "full" cable, but the 
cable provider swiched out channels willy-nilly and jacked up the price 
every year. Also all apartments in the building was compelled to sign 
up. Also also all the infrastructure (cables, swich-boxes, whathaveyous) 
was rented. It was a very old contract.
But at least I could watch Tour de France back then...
