I am working hard at PT. I can stand and walk a bit with a little help.
I even went to the in-house salon for a haircut and braid to keep me
comfortable in bed. Getting my hair washed felt so luxurious.

The staff at the nursing home are so nice! They were very careful to
move everything when I transferred out of quarantine today. I had my
first COVID test for that. John Scalzi was right about them tickling
the back of my skull.

The food is very good and I even get snacks. It would help if I could
beat my insomnia, but life isn't perfect.

My bruises from the heparin are fading. I am tolerating Eliquis just fine.

Chris is here every day, and Dad comes along most days. He's
well-regarded by the staff. Of course. He's wonderful. He even
visited every day I was in ICU and I never remembered anything of those
days. He was scared until I was on telemetry at Rancho Springs and then
transferred here. My brain fuzzies really started to clear here. Poor
Chris has to drive from Wildomar to Temecula to see me. It's not as far
as the pharmacy, but it's a bit of a daily drive. I figure at least one
of his cousins should be visiting ere long. They've had their own
health issues, alas.

None of us have had COVID yet. We got the vaccinations, wear our masks,
and distance ourselves. I mostly was a hermit. The measures
recommended to keep infection at bay truly work.

You all are most kind. It makes me feel better to read posts from you folx.

Dinner! Catch you later!
