SOLUTION:
Thanks to a Ham radio operator (I'm one too), he told me what to do, and
by GOLLY, it WORKED!!
On the main display, I tapped "Controls", then "Lights >".
Among the headlight settings is "Headlights Illumination on Approach"
(length of time). I set it to 0 seconds.
That was the solution!!
