That got blown out of the water when their image generation IA
depicted the founding fathers as black, and refused to image strong
white man while happily imaging a strong black man.

I hope you are joking.  The nature of many modern tech markets is that
it's extremely difficult for a newer/smaller comptitor to compete with
the market leaders.  What's the marketshare of GNU/Linux, despite
being arguably as good an OS as Windows?
