There was a time when I loved building 'puters.  I made a hobby of it,
multi-tool and screwdriver in hand, knitting together odd bits of kit
and software and wrestling with settings.  

I'm older now and wiser, I've put aside childish things and recognised
that a 'puter is a tool, a means to an end, not an end in itself.  Macs
might seem expensive but they're beautifully made, last a long time, 
are reliable and have good long-term support.  

Best of all, they just work.
