You should welcome the King. Psalm 24 opens by declaring that the Lord owns the entire earth and everything in it (vv. 1–2). It concludes with a triumphant call for the ancient doors to open so that the King of glory may enter (vv. 7–10). The passage reveals that God is not merely a distant Creator, but the victorious Lord who claims total authority over creation.
