The information you provided argues that alcohol is a solvent, not a 
solution. I'm not seeing where it addresses whether or not alcohol is a 
drug.

That's not my concern anyway. God doesn't forbid alcohol, only being 
drunk and impaired (Ephesians 5:18). Wine in the Bible probably had 
alcohol content, and it was often associated with God's blessing 
(Genesis 27:28). Jesus made wine at the wedding (John 2:1-11).

Likewise, the Bible does not forbid blood transfusions. The Old 
Testament dietary law prohibited eating blood (Leviticus 17:10-14), but 
that was clearly changed by God (Acts 10:9-16). The counsel at Jerusalem 
recommended Gentile Christians not eat blood (Acts 15:19-20), but that 
was probably just to avoid offending the Jews (Acts 15:21). It's not 
something that determines your eternal destiny (Romans 14:17).
