World Central Kitchen deaths in Gaza

The death of several workers of the World Central Kitchen organisation
in Gaza have brought several things into sharper focus.

First, it provides additional evidence for the genocidal intent of the
Israeli government.

The World Central Kitchen was hampering the Israeli war effort by
feeding people that the Israeli government was trying to starve.

By killing 7 workers for World Central Kitchen they persuaded those
who run the organisation to pull out of Gaza. 

Mission accomplished.

Secondly, it exposes the deviousness and hypocrisy of Western
governments.


It seems that WCK has pretty close ties to the security establishments
of the UK, and possibly those of the US and other Nato countries as
well. 

Israel, with its aim of starving the people of Gaza, didn't want
anyone countering that objective by feeding them, so propagated
rumours about UNRWA employees taking part in the October 7 attacks.
Several Western governments immediately, without waiting for (or even
demanding) verification of these rumours stopped funding UNRWA. This
meant that they were arguably not merely conniving at, but actually
complicit in genocide.

Also, and perhaps more important, it meant that the ruling parties of
those countries might lose the votes of their more humanitarian-minded
supporters in what, in several of the countries involved, was an
election year. 

So they came up with the solution of replacing the humanitarian aid of
UNRWA with that of the World Central Kitchen, which worked in close
collaboration with the military and security establishments of its
home countries, and, when in Gaza, worked in close collaboration with
the Israeli military, who were fully informed of their movements, and
therefore found it easy to take them out. For more on this, see here:

Satellite images suggest that the second vehicle of the convoy picked
up survivors of the first hit, and then was hit itself. The survivors
of the second explosion were picked up by the third vehicle, which was
then hit.

It was no accident. 

Thirdly, it exposes the false values of Western Civilization

In the past six months nearly 200 "humanitarian aid" workers have been
killed in Gaza, but until the death of workers of the World Central
Kitchen the Western media barely noticed. Why the sudden concern with
these seven?

It can only be because the WCK workers were citizens of countries in
which the Western media are based, and their lives are therefore
perceived as being more valuable than those of the inhabitants of
Gaza.

-- because if you don't believe that all lives matter, then the
question of whose lives you think don't matter becomes quite
important. 

And, as Samuel Huntington put it in his book "The Clash of
Civilizations,":

  "The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or
  values or religion (to which few members of other
  civilizations were converted) but rather by its superiority in
  applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this
  fact; non-Westerners never do".
