Anna's list is very American oriented, and most certainly does not
represent the British understanding of the words. Here in the UK,
'adult' means grown ups, no children, in the US it can be construed as
being of a sexual nature. Lifestyle, as far as I'm aware, has no
swinger connotations here in the Untied Kingdom, which is why you'll
often read of the 'Naturist Lifestyle' and no doubt explains cause of
Anna's confusion when picking up on British newspaper reports.

I doubt if it is the language to blame. I'd suggest that 'Anna's'
misunderstandings are deliberate. He seems to go out of his way to look for
sexual connotations in everything. He seems to be on a crusade to seek out
things he can then appear outraged and shocked at for some peculiar
psychological reason, rather than simply avoiding things he doesn't like.
What a pity such persistence can't be used for something useful.
