We're not talking about people we know who can draw a bit, real talent
requires a lot of practice and effort to refine. And, yes, a lot of exposure
to the work of other artists. If you think otherwise then you are seriously
misinformed.

Oh really?

So what about writers, composers etc. Isn't what they do "pure creativity"?,
and do you expect them to be able to operate in ignorance of what the greats
have done before?

In Antwerp, Rubens received a humanist education, studying Latin and
classical literature. By fourteen he began his artistic apprenticeship with
Tobias Verhaeght. Subsequently, he studied under two of the city's leading
painters of the time, the late mannerists Adam van Noort and Otto van
Veen.[2] Much of his earliest training involved copying earlier artists'
works, such as woodcuts by Hans Holbein the Younger and Marcantonio
Raimondi's engravings after Raphael. Rubens completed his education in 1598,
at which time he entered the Guild of St. Luke as an independent master.[3]

Your point?

You reckon?, have you actually *seen* any modern art?

Just shows how little you know what you are talking about.

Are you suggesting that pavement artists aren't *very* aware of what other
pavement artists are doing?, if so can you explain why it is that they all
tend to produce very much the same sort of thing?

I am? what is a "typical socialist"?

> always trying to blend in.....

ROFLOL! Isn't it you who keeps on about not offending against "community
standards"? (In other words trying to blend in).

Showing your ignorance again Zee!

But you just claimed that I'm a "typical socialist", so obviously you have
no idea who I am.
