The point is that you react according to the culture you find yourself in. Men and woman dress in uniforms precisely to advertise they are aligned with a group of professionals and acting as such, rather than as individuals. The difference is that is their choice, and they don't give up their rights to be individuals when they are no longer engaged in their professional duties.
