JOSHUA 16

Allotment for Ephraim and Manasseh

1 (Jos 8:15; 18:12) The allotment of land for the descendants of Joseph 
was from the Jordan by Jericho then east into the wilderness, 
rising from Jericho to the hill country of Bethel.
2 (Jos 18:13; Ge 28:19) It goes out from Bethel to Luz and passes
to the border of Arkite territory at Ataroth. 
3 (Jos 10:33; 18:13) It goes down westward to the territory 
of the Japhletites, to the border of lower Beth Horon and Gezer, 
and then goes out to the sea.
4 (Jos 17:14) So the descendants of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim,
took their inheritance.
5 (Jos 18:13) The territory of the Ephraimites, according to their clans, 
was as follows. The border of their inheritance on the east was Ataroth 
Addar as far as upper Beth Horon. 
6 (Jos 17:7) The border goes out toward the sea with Mikmethath 
on the north. It turns eastward toward Taanath Shiloh and passes it 
on the east toward Janoah. 
7 (1Ch 7:28) It descends from Janoah to Ataroth and to Naarah,
touches Jericho, and extends to the Jordan. 
8 (Jos 17:8-9) From Tappuah the border goes west to the Kanah Ravine 
and out to the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the Ephraimites
according to their clans.
9 The other cities for the Ephraimites were in the middle of the inheritance 
of the descendants of Manasseh, all the cities and their villages.
10 (Jdg 1:29; 1Ki 9:16) They did not drive out the Canaanites who lived
in Gezer, so the Canaanites live in the midst of Ephraim until this day 
performing heavy labor as slaves.

Joshua 16
[1] And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto
the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from
Jericho throughout mount Bethel,
[2] And goeth out from Bethel to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of
Archi to Ataroth,
[3] And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of
Beth-horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the goings out thereof are at the
sea.
[4] So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.
[5] And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families
was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was
Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;
[6] And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side;
and the border went about eastward unto Taanath-shiloh, and passed by it on
the east to Janohah;
[7] And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to
Jericho, and went out at Jordan.
[8] The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the
goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of
the children of Ephraim by their families.
[9] And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the
inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.
[10] And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the
Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under
tribute. 

JOSHUA 17

1 (Ge 41:51; Nu 26:29) Then allotment was made to the tribe of Manasseh,
for he was the firstborn of Joseph. To Makir the firstborn of Manasseh, 
the father of Gilead, were allotted Gilead and Bashan, 
because he was a warrior.
2 (Nu 26:29-32; 1Ch 7:18) And allotments were made 
to the rest of the tribe of Manasseh, according to their families: 
Abiezer, Helek, Asriel, Shechem, Hepher, and Shemida; 
these were the male descendants of Manasseh son of Joseph, according 
to their families.
3 (Nu 26:33; 27:1) Yet Zelophehad, son of Hepher, son of Gilead, 
son of Makir, son of Manasseh had no sons, only daughters. 
These were his daughters' names: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah, and Tirzah. 
4 (Jos 14:1) They approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun,
 and the leaders, saying, "The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance
 among our relatives." So Joshua gave them an inheritance among their fathers'
relatives according to the word of the Lord. 
5 Therefore Manasseh received ten regions, apart from the lands of Gilead 
and Bashan on the east side of the Jordan, 
6 because the daughters of Manasseh 
received an inheritance among his sons, and the rest of the people of Manasseh
received the land of Gilead.
7 (Jos 21:21) The boundary of Manasseh was from Asher to Mikmethath 
east of Shechem, and it runs south toward the inhabitants of En Tappuah. 
8 (Jos 16:8) Now Manasseh owned the land of Tappuah, but Tappuah 
on the border of Manasseh belonged to the Ephraimites.
9 Then the border descended to the Kanah Ravine, southward to the brook. 
These cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh. 
The border of Manasseh was on the north side of the brook, 
and it ended at the sea. 
10 The land belonging to Ephraim was to the south, 
and the land belonging to Manasseh to the north. 
The Mediterranean Sea was the boundary of this territory, 
which bordered Asher in the north and Issachar in the east.
11 (1Ch 7:29; Jos 12:23) In Issachar and Asher, Manasseh was
assigned districts: Beth Shan, Ibleam, Dor, Endor, Taanach, 
Megiddo, Naphoth, and their respective villages.
12 (Jdg 1:27-28) Yet the sons of Manasseh could not take possession 
of those cities, because the Canaanites were determined to live in that land. 
13 (Jos 16:10) But when the children of Israel became strong, they put 
the Canaanites to hard labor as slaves, 
but they did not actually drive them out.
14 (Ge 48:19; 48:22) The descendants of Joseph said to Joshua, 
"Why have you assigned us a single allotment, a single portion? 
We are a numerous people, as the Lord has blessed us."
15 (Ge 14:5) Joshua said to them, "If you are a numerous people, 
go up to the forests and clear out a place there for yourselves 
in the land of the Perizzites and the giants, 
since the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you."
16 (Jdg 1:19; 4:3) The descendants of Joseph said, 
"The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites 
living in the plains have iron chariots, both those
 in Beth Shan and the Jezreel Valley."
17 Joshua said to Ephraim and Manasseh, the descendants of Joseph,
"You are a numerous people who have great strength. There will not 
be only one allotment for you. 
18 The hill country shall be yours. Although it is a forest you shall 
clear it and own it to its borders. You shall drive out the Canaanites, 
even though they have iron chariots and are strong."

[1] There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn

Bashan, which were on the other side Jordan;
[6] Because the daughters of Manasseh had an inheritance among his sons: and
the rest of Manasseh's sons had the land of Gilead.
[7] And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher to Michmethah, that lieth
before Shechem; and the border went along on the right hand unto the
inhabitants of En-tappuah.
[8] Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of
Manasseh belonged to the children of Ephraim;
[9] And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river:
these cities of Ephraim are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of
Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it
were at the sea:
[10] Southward it was Ephraim's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the
sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in
Issachar on the east.
[11] And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher Beth-shean and her towns, and
Ibleam and her towns, and the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the
inhabitants of Endor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her
towns, and the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, even three countries.
[12] Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of
those cities; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.
[13] Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong,
that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out.
[14] And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou
given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people,
forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto?
[15] And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up
to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the
Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
[16] And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all
the Canaanites that dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron,
both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the
valley of Jezreel.
[17] And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to
Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt
not have one lot only:
[18] But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut
it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out
the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.

JOSHUA 18

Dividing the Rest of the Land

1 (Jos 19:51; 21:2) The whole congregation of the children of Israel 
assembled at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. 
The land was subdued before them.
2 Yet seven tribes among the children of Israel remained 
who had not yet received their inheritance.
3 (Jdg 18:9) So Joshua said to the children of Israel, "How long will you
delay going in to possess the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers,
 has given you? 
4 Select three men from each tribe, and I will send them out; 
and they will rise and go throughout the land, and describe it 
according to their inheritance, and they will come back to me. 
5 They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah will stay in their 
territory in the south, and the house of Joseph will stay in their 
territory in the north.
6 (Jos 14:2; 18:10) So describe the land in seven portions and return to me. 
Then I will cast lots for you here before the Lord our God. 
7 (Jos 13:33; Nu 18:20) Yet there is no portion for the Levites among you,
for the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, 
and the half-tribe of Manasseh have acquired their inheritance 
on the east side of the Jordan, 
which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them."
8 So the men got up and left. Joshua commanded those who were
leaving to survey the land, saying, "Go and walk back and forth 
throughout the land. Write a description of it, then return to me. 
Here in Shiloh I will cast lots for you before the Lord."
9 The men went and passed through the land. In a book they wrote
a description of it by cities in seven portions, and they came back to Joshua 
at the Shiloh settlement. 
10 (Jos 18:6) Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the Lord. 
There Joshua apportioned the land for the children of Israel 
according to their divisions.

[1] And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together
at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land
was subdued before them.
[2] And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had
not yet received their inheritance.
[3] And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go
to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
[4] Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them,
and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to
the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.
[5] And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their
coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on
the north.
[6] Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the
description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD
our God.
[7] But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD
is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh,
have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the
servant of the LORD gave them.
[8] And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to
describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it,
and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in
Shiloh.
[9] And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities
into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.
[10] And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there
Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their
divisions.

The Allotment for Benjamin
11 The lot of the tribe of Benjamin, according to their clans, came up. 
The territory allotted to it fell between Judah and Joseph.
12 (Jos 16:1; 7:2) Their northern border goes from the Jordan up 
the northern slope of Jericho. It runs westward into the hill country 
and extends to the wilderness of Beth Aven. 
13 (Ge 28:19; Jos 16:2-3) The border passes from there southward 
toward Luz, to the slope of Luz (that is, Bethel), and descends to Ataroth 
Addar on the hill south of lower Beth Horon.
14 (Jos 15:9) On the western side, the border turns south from the hill 
that lies to the south near Beth Horon, and it extends to Kiriath Baal
(that is, Kiriath Jearim), a city belonging to Judah. 
This is the western border.
15 (Jos 15:9) The southern border starts from Kiriath Jearim 
and goes out westward to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah. 
16 (2Ki 23:10; Jos 15:7-8) The border then descends to the foot 
of the mountain that lies by the Valley of Ben Hinnom, which is 
at the north end of the Valley of Rephaim. It descends from 
the Hinnom Valley to the slope of the Jebusites, then down to En Rogel. 
17 (Jos 15:6) The border runs north and goes out to En Shemesh and Geliloth, 
which is opposite the Ascent of Adummim, 
and descends to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben. 
18 (Jos 15:6) It passes toward the slope north of the Beth Arabah
and descends to the Arabah. 
19 (Ge 14:3; Jos 15:2) The border passes north of the slope of Beth Hoglah, 
and it runs out to the northern tip of the Dead Sea at the southern 
end of the Jordan. This is the southern border.
20 The Jordan forms the eastern boundary.
This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin, 
according to their clans, by its boundaries all around.
21 (Jos 18:12) The cities belonging to the tribe of Benjamin,
 according to their clans, were Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz, 
22 Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel, 
23 Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,
24 (Ezr 2:26) Kephar Ammoni, Ophni, and Geba: twelve cities 
with their villages.
25 (Jos 9:17) Also there were Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth, 
26 Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah, 
27 Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah, 
28 (Jos 15:8; 2Sa 21:14) Zelah, Haeleph, the Jebusite city 
(that is, Jerusalem), 
Gibeah, and Kiriath: fourteen cities with their villages.
This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin 
according to their clans.

[11] And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according
to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the
children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
[12] And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went
up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the
mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of
Beth-aven.
[13] And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz,
which is Bethel, southward; and the border descended to Ataroth-adar, near
the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Beth-horon.
[14] And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea
southward, from the hill that lieth before Beth-horon southward; and the
goings out thereof were at Kirjath-baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, a city of
the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.
[15] And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjath-jearim, and the
border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:
[16] And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before
the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on
the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on
the south, and descended to En-rogel,
[17] And was drawn from the north, and went forth to En-shemesh, and went
forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and
descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,
[18] And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and
went down unto Arabah:
[19] And the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward: and
the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the
south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.
[20] And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the
inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about,
according to their families.
[21] Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to
their families were Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,
[22] And Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,
[23] And Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
[24] And Chephar-haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities with their
villages:
[25] Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
[26] And Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

Luke 12:13-21 

The Parable of the Rich Fool

13 Someone in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide
the inheritance with me."
14 (Ro 2:1; 2:3) Jesus said to him, "Man, who appointed Me a judge
or an arbitrator between you?"
15 (1Ti 6:6-10; Heb 13:5) Then He said to them, "Take heed and beware
of covetousness. For a man's life does not consist
in the abundance of his possessions."
16 And He told a parable to them, saying,
"The land of a rich man produced plentifully.
17 He thought to himself,
'What shall I do, for I have no room to store my crops?'
18 "Then he said, 'This I will do: I will pull down my barns
and build greater ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
19 (Ecc 11:9; Pr 27:1) And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods
laid up for many years. Take rest. Eat, drink, and be merry.'
20 (Jer 17:11; Job 27:8; Ps 39:6) "But God said to him, 'You fool!
This night your soul will be required of you.
Then whose will those things be which you have provided?'
21 (Lk 12:33; Mt 6:19-20) "So is he who stores up treasure for himself,
and is not rich toward God."

[13] And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that
he divide the inheritance with me.
[14] And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
[15] And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a
man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he
possesseth.
[16] And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich
man brought forth plentifully:
[17] And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have
no room where to bestow my fruits?
[18] And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build
greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
[19] And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many
years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
[20] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required
of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
[21] So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Some years ago, artist Michael Landy counted up everything he owned, making a 
list of 7227 possessions. What he did next was eye-opening. Setting up a 
factory in London's busiest shopping district, Landy publicly destroyed it
all. Clothes, artwork, love letters, even his car, were broken down, placed 
on a conveyor belt, and fed into grinders. As consumers darted in and out of 
department stores nearby, Landy's performance art asked, "Who are we without 
our possessions?"

It's an important question because most of us buy things to define ourselves 
or secure our futures. Jesus told a parable about a man who horded his wealth 
and embraced a consumerist lifestyle. "You have plenty of grain laid up for 
many years," the man tells himself. "Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry" 
(Luke 12:19). But what was left when his life was "demanded" from him that 
night? Only God's rebuke at having missed what's most important (vv. 20-21).

It isn't a sin to own things. Michael Landy still needed clothes. But when 
we're tempted to find life and identity in what we own, Jesus reminds us that 
"life does not consist in an abundance of possessions" (v. 15). Who would you 
be without all your goods? Still a dearly loved child of God (Psalm 103:17; 
Ephesians 5:1). Out of this secure identity, we can be rich toward God 
and others.
Reflect & Pray

What do your possessions say about you? 
What might being "rich toward God" (v. 21) mean for you?

Dear Father, please help me resist the lie 
that I am what I own, and live richly toward You and others instead.

Week 4 - The Blessings of Grace Day 5 - 1 John 1:9

9 (Ps 32:5; Pr 28:13) If we confess our sins, He is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

"If God already knows everything about me, everything I've done,
then why do I need to confess it?" Grant struggled with a common
dilemma for many Christians. Indeed, God, knew all his sin - much
better than Grant did himself. But Grant needed to confess,
not for God's benefit, but for his own. Grant needed to agree with God
that his sin was wrong, and put himself in a position to receive God's
grace in forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 make the process quit clear. We confess,
and God forgives and cleanses. Many of us, however, want to take on
God's part as well. We confess, agreeing with God that our sin is wrong.
But then we proceed to try to 'clean up our act,'bargaining with God,
promising that if he will forgive us just this once,
we won't ever to it again.
The problem is, we can never keep such a promise.
We probably will do it again, and then we are back where we started,
begging for forgiveness, and trying once more to cleanse
ourselves for our unrighteousness.
God offers freedom from such futile performance. He says, "Just confess.
Agree that you sinned. Submit yourself to me. Then I'll take over from there."
God's grace does not give us freedom to keep on sinning, of course - we need
to cooperate with the work of his Spirit in our lives and do all we can
to avoid sin. But we do not have to beg God for forgiveness - forgiveness
is offered to us freely.
We do not have to clean up out act before God will accept us; God can make
the necessary changes in our lives. When we confess, submit ourselves to God,
and allow him to work within us, he is able both to forgive us and to cleanse
us from unrighteousness.

Application

a) In what ways have I bartered with God and tried to "Clean up my act"
in order to deserve his forgiveness?

b) What is my part in confession? What is God's response?
Why it is important for me to recognize God's part in my
confession and forgiveness?

The Lord's prayer 

Matthew 6:9-13


9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

Saskatoon has seen quick growth in its Muslim population over the past
5 years, which maybe as high as 5000 today. Islamic leaders have 
focused specifically on this city , having twice already sent cohorts
of about 70 families to start mosques. There are now 7 Islamic centres
of worship and an Islamic madrassah (school) located right next to a 
Christian school.
Of particular concern recently is the number of young adults who grew up
in evangelical churches and converted to Islam. Most of these are young
women who were wooed by Muslim man and became emotionally bonded. 
Both prior to and after marrying, these women are known to convert to Islam.

Agree in prayer with us for:
- entire congregations and individual believers to catch God's heart
and passion for reaching Muslims in Saskatoon and the other growing
Muslim population centres of Saskatchewan.
- for the eyes and understanding of Canadian youth to be opened to the 
  spiritual reality of Islam, and not deceived nor manipulated into
  converting to a religion which cannot offer assurance of salvation. 
- for the few workers among Muslims now engaged there, and for many more
  to be raised up into effective witness.
- for prayer and training events that are starting in Saskatoon 
  to spread and grow to other cities.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid  celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that 
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.

For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.

You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"

Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you 
know, and Muslims around the world:

- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
Acts 2:12-17 :  17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
"that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; 
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, 
your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Even on My menservants and maidservants 
I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy. 
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below: 
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.  20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes.
21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under 
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the 
house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people - 
Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims 
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

b) Pray for the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut

I) Pray for the leaders of Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut,
that God's Spirit would influence then to act justly,
serve with integrity
and honour high moral standards. ( 1 Tim 2:1 - 4

1 Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone,
2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings and for all who are in authority,
that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty,
3(1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good
and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all men to be saved
and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, 
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 
2 for kings, and for all that are in authority;

II) Pray for the churches of the province,
that they would be lighthouses
beaming forth the illuminating truth of God's Word.

III) Pray that the Lord would use
the Finding the Hope Campaign
and booklet to turn many hearts to Jesus

Conclusion:

Pray to the Lord and pray to be good stewards in what the Lord gives you.

Pray to the Lord: "Dear Father, please help me resist the lie 
that I am what I own, and live richly toward You and others instead."

Pray to the Lord and pray to ask for forgiveness for sins. 

Pray to the Lord and pray to Him who receives your offerings.

Pray to the Lord and pray to Him who receives your strength.
