John 13:34-35

34 (Lev 19:18; Eph 5:2) "A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another, even as I have loved you,
that you also love one another.
35 (Jn 17:21) By this all men will know that you are My disciples,
if you have love for one another."

[34] The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ
abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who
is this Son of man?
[35] Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you.
Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that
walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

PSALMS 15
A Psalm of David.
1 Lord, who will abide in Your tabernacle?
Who will dwell in Your holy hill?
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2 )He who walks uprightly,
and does righteousness,
and speaks truth in his heart;
3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) he who does not slander with the tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor bears a reproach against his friend;
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) in whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
he who swears to avoid evil
and does not change;
5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) he who does not put his money out to usury,

He who does these things

Psalm 15

6 (Mk 9:42) "But whoever misleads one of these little ones who believe in Me,
it would be better for him to have a millstone hung about his neck
and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. 
7 (Lk 17:1; 1Co 11:19) Woe to the world because of temptations! For it must
be that temptations come, but woe to that man by whom the ­temptation comes! 

[6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it
were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he
were drowned in the depth of the sea. 
[7] Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that
offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

The Brother Who Sins
Lk 17:3

15 (Lev 19:17; 1Co 9:19-21) "Now if your brother sins against you,
go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you,
you have gained your brother.
16 (Dt 19:15; Jn 8:17) But if he does not listen, then take with you one
or two others, that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every word
may be established. (Ps 8:2.)
17 (2Th 3:6; Mt 5:46) If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church.
But if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as
a Gentile and a tax collector.
18 (Mt 16:19; Jn 20:23) "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will
be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19 (Mt 7:7; Ac 12:5) "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth
about anything they ask, it will be done for them
by My Father who is in heaven.

Rules for confronting sin in relationships

A) What qualifies?

Matthew 18:15

15 (Lev 19:17; 1Co 9:19-21) "Now if your brother sins against you,
go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you,
you have gained your brother." 

[15] Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him
his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast
gained thy brother.

B) Keep it private

Matthew 18:15b-16

15 (Lev 19:17; 1Co 9:19-21) " If he listens to you,
you have gained your brother.
16 (Dt 19:15; Jn 8:17) But if he does not listen, then take with you one

Judgment Against Immorality

1 (Lev 18:8; Dt 22:30) It is actually reported
that there is sexual immorality among you,
and such immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles,
that a man has his father's wife.
2 (1Co 5:13; 2Co 7:7-11) But you are arrogant. Instead you should
have mourned, so that he who has done this deed might be removed
from among you.
3 (Col 2:5; 1Th 2:17) For indeed, though absent in body
but present in spirit, I have already, as if I were present,
judged him who has done this deed,
4 (Jn 20:23; 2Co 13:3) in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
When you are assembled, along with my spirit,
in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 (1Ti 1:20; 1Co 1:8) deliver him to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,
so that the spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 (Gal 5:9; Jas 4:16) Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that
a little yeast leavens the whole batch?
7 (Ex 12:15; Mk 14:12) Therefore purge out the old yeast,
that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened.
For even Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed for us.
8 (Ex 12:15; Dt 16:3) Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast,
nor with the yeast of malice and wickedness,
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

10 (1Co 10:27) Yet I did not mean the sexually immoral people of this world,
or the covetous and extortioners, or the idolaters,
since you would then need to go out of the world.

company with any man who is called a brother, who is sexually immoral,
or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard,
or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a person.
12 (Mk 4:11) For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside?
Do you not judge those who are inside?
13 (Dt 13:5; 17:7) But God judges those who are outside. Therefore
"put away from among yourselves that wicked person."

[6] Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth
the whole lump?
[7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are

Galatians 6:1

1 (Heb 12:13; Ro 15:1; 1Co 2:15) Brothers, if a man is caught
in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore such
a one in the spirit of meekness, watching yourselves,
lest you also be tempted.

[1] Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual,
restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest
thou also be tempted.

Jeremiah 30

Israel and Judah Restored

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying:
2 (Isa 30:8; Jer 36:32) Thus says the Lord God of Israel:
Write all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.
3 (Jer 16:15; 29:14) For surely the days are coming, says the Lord,
when I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel and Judah.
The Lord says, I also will cause them to return to the land that
I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
4 These are the words that the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah.
5 (Isa 5:30; Am 5:16-18) For thus says the Lord:
I have heard a sound of trembling,
of fear, and not of peace.
6 (Jer 4:31; 6:24) Ask now, and see,
can a male labor with child?
Why do I see every man
with his hands on his loins, as a woman in labor,
and all faces turned pale?
7 (Joel 2:11; Jer 30:10 )Alas! for that day is great,
so that no one is like it;
it is even the time of Jacob's trouble,
but he shall be saved out of it.
8 (Eze 34:27; Isa 9:4; Jer 27:2) For it shall come to pass in that day,
says the Lord of Hosts,
that I shall break his yoke from off their neck
and tear away their bonds,

yet I will not make a full end of you.
But I will correct you in measure
and will not leave you altogether unpunished.

Your bruise is incurable
and your wound is severe.
13 (Jer 8:22; 46:11) There is no one to plead your cause
that you may be bound up.
You have no healing medicines.

they do not seek you;
for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy,
with the chastisement of a cruel one,
because of the multitude of your iniquities, because your sins are numerous.
15 (Jer 30:12; 30:14) Why do you cry because of your affliction?
Your sorrow is incurable.
Because of the multitude of your iniquities, because your sins are numerous,
I have done these things to you.
16 (Jer 10:25; Isa 14:2) Therefore all who devour you will be devoured;
and all your adversaries, every one of them, will go into captivity.
And those who plunder you will become plunder,
and all who prey upon you I will give for prey.
17 (Ex 15:26; Ps 107:20) For I will restore health to you,
and I will heal you of your wounds,
says the Lord,
because they called you an outcast, saying,
"This is Zion whom no man cares for."
18 (Jer 30:3; Ps 102:13) Thus says the Lord:
I will restore the fortunes of Jacob's tents
and have mercy on his dwelling places;
and the city will be built upon her own heap,
and the palace will remain on its rightful place.
19 (Isa 35:10; 51:11) Out of them will proceed thanksgiving
and the voice of those who make merry;
and I will multiply them,
and they will not be few.
I will also glorify them,
and they will not be small.
20 Their children also will be as before,
and their congregation will be established before Me;
and I will punish all who oppress them.
21 (Nu 16:5; Ge 49:10) Their leader shall be one of them,
and their ruler shall proceed from their midst;
and I will cause him to draw near and he will approach Me;
for who is this that dares
to approach Me?
says the Lord.
22 (Jer 24:7; 31:1) You shall be My people,
and I will be your God.
23 (Jer 23:19-20; 25:32) Look, the whirlwind of the Lord
goes forth with fury,
a continuing whirlwind;
it will fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
24 (Jer 23:20; 4:28) The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return
until He has done it
and until He has performed the intentions of His heart.
In the latter days
you will understand it.

Jeremiah 30
[1] The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
[2] Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words
that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
[3] For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the
captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause
them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall
possess it.
[4] And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and
concerning Judah.
[5] For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear,
and not of peace.
[6] Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do
I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all
faces are turned into paleness?
[7] Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the
time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
[9] But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I

the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest,
and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
[11] For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full
end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full

[22] And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
[23] Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing
whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
[24] The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it,
and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye
shall consider it.

Jeremiah 31

The Exiles Return

1 (Jer 30:22; Ge 17:7-8) At that time, says the Lord, I will be the God
of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.
2 (Nu 10:33; Dt 1:33) Thus says the Lord:
The people who survived the sword
found grace in the wilderness,
when I went to give Israel rest.
3 (Hos 11:4; Mal 1:2) The Lord has appeared to him from afar, saying:
Indeed, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
4 (Jer 31:13; 33:7) Again I will build you
and you will be built, O virgin of Israel.
You will again be adorned with your tambourines
and shall go forth in the dances of those who make merry.
5 (Am 9:14; Dt 28:30) You will yet plant vines
on the mountains of Samaria;
the planters will plant
and will enjoy them.
6 (Jer 50:4-5) For there will be a day when the watchmen
on the hills of Ephraim will proclaim,
"Arise, and let us go up to Zion,
to the Lord our God."
7 (Ps 14:7; 28:9) For thus says the Lord:
Sing with gladness for Jacob,
and shout among the chief of the nations;
publish, praise, and say,
"O Lord, save Your people,
the remnant of Israel."
8 (Isa 42:16; Jer 23:8) See, I will bring them from the north country,
and gather them from the remote parts of the earth,
and with them the blind and the lame,
the woman with child and her who is in labour with child, together;
a great company will return here.

and with supplications I will lead them.
I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters,
in a straight way in which they shall not stumble.
For I am a Father to Israel,
and Ephraim is My firstborn.
10 (Isa 40:11; 66:19; Eze 34:12) Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,
and declare it in the coastlands far off, and say,
"He who scattered Israel will gather him
and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock."
11 (Isa 44:23; 48:20) For the Lord has redeemed Jacob
and ransomed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.
12 (Isa 35:10; 58:11; 65:19 )Therefore they will come
and sing in the height of Zion,
and will be joyful over the goodness of the Lord,
for wheat and for wine and for oil
and for the young of the flock and of the herd;
and their souls will be as a watered garden.
And they will not sorrow any more at all.
13 (Ps 30:11; Isa 51:11) Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance,
both young men and old together;
for I will turn their mourning into joy,
and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14 (Jer 31:25) I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance,
and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness,
says the Lord.

[2] Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace
in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
[3] The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee
with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
[4] Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel:
thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the
dances of them that make merry.
[5] Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters

[6] For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall
cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.

15 (Jos 18:25; Ge 37:35) Thus says the Lord:
A voice is heard in Ramah,
lamentation and bitter weeping,
Rachel weeping for her children,
refusing to be comforted for her children,
because they are no more.
16 (Ru 2:12; Jer 30:3) Thus says the Lord:
Keep your voice from weeping
and your eyes from tears;
for your work shall be rewarded,
says the Lord,
and they shall come back from the land of the enemy.
17 There is hope for your future,
says the Lord,
that your children will come back to their own border.
18 (Ps 80:3; Job 5:17 )I have surely heard Ephraim pleading:
"You have chastised me,
and I was chastised, as an untrained calf;
turn me back and I will be turned,
for you are the Lord my God.
19 (Jer 3:25; Eze 36:31; 21:12) Surely after I turned back,
I repented;
and after I was instructed,
I struck myself on my thigh;
I was ashamed and even humiliated
because I bore the reproach of my youth."
20 (Isa 55:7; 63:15) Is Ephraim My dear son?
Is he a pleasant child?
For since I spoke against him,
I surely do remember him still;
therefore My heart longs for him.
I will surely have mercy on him,
says the Lord.
21 (Jer 50:5; Isa 48:20) Set up road marks,
place guideposts.
Set your heart toward the highway,
even the way by which you went.
Turn back, O virgin of Israel,
turn back to these your cities.
22 (Jer 2:23; 3:6) How long will you go about,
O faithless daughter?
For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth:
A woman shall obtain a man.
23 (Zec 8:3; Isa 1:26; Jer 50:7) Thus says the Lord of Hosts,
the God of Israel: Once again they shall use this speech
in the land of Judah and in the cities when I restore their fortunes:
"May the Lord bless you, O habitation of righteousness
and mountain of holiness!"
24 (Zec 8:4-8; Eze 36:10) And Judah and all its cities will dwell there,
the farmer and those who go out with the flocks.
25 (Jer 31:14; Jn 4:14) For I satiate the weary souls and I replenish every
languishing soul.
26 Upon this I awoke and looked, and my sleep was sweet to me.
27 (Hos 2:23; Eze 36:9) Surely, the days are coming, says the Lord,
when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah
with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.
28 (Jer 1:10; 44:27) It shall come to pass that as I have watched
over them to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down,
and to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them, to build,
and to plant, says the Lord.
29 (La 5:7; Eze 18:2-3) In those days they will say no more:
"The fathers have eaten sour grapes,
and the children's teeth are set on edge."

A New Covenant

The beautiful bride, gripping her proud father's arm, was poised to make her 
way to the altar. But not before the entrance of her thirteen-month-old 
nephew. Instead of carrying the more common "ring"-he was the "Bible bearer."
In this way, the bride and groom, as committed believers in Jesus, wanted to 
testify to their love for Scripture. With minimal distraction, the toddler 
found his way to the front of the church. How illustrative it was that the 
toddler's teeth marks were found on the leather cover of the Bible. What a 
picture of activity that's fitting for believers in Christ or those who 
desire to know Him-to taste and take in Scripture.

Psalm 119 celebrates the comprehensive worth of the Scriptures. After 
declaring the blessedness of those who live by God's law (v. 1), the author 
poetically raved about it, including his love for it. "See how I love your 
precepts" (v. 159); "I hate and detest falsehood but I love your law" 
(v. 163); "I obey your statutes, for I love them greatly" (v. 167).

What statements do we make about our love for God and His Word through how we
live? One way to test our love for Him is by asking, What am I partaking of? 
Have I been "chewing" on the sweet words of Scripture? And then accept this 
invitation, "Taste and see that the Lord is good" (34:8).

John 8:12

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,

When Judy Garland stepped onstage, she filled the spotlight. Nothing was
illuminated but her face, and as she sang, her listeners had a sense of being
transported beyond themselves into the meaning of her song. The focus of
reality, at that moment, was "Judy", and everything else faded into the dim
recesses of the shadowed room. The spotlight brought her into sharp focus
as the center of attention, and all around her was darkness.
When the scriptures speaks of Jesus as "the light," the image is not
of thousands of blazing bulbs lighting up a football field for a night game.
Rather, he is like a hand-help lamp that throws a circle of light in the
immediate vicinity. such a lamp lights the path that a traveler will walk,
but lights it only one step at a time.
Jesus is the center of that circle of light. As we follow him, we share the
light, but he is always at center. Jesus Christ is the focal point,
and everything else fades into dim gray by comparison.
If we are to keep our lives illuminated, to have his light falling upon the
road we walk, we must stay close to him. Jesus does not hand the lamp
to us and suggest that we go the way he wants; he , the Light, leads,
and if we want to stay in the light, we follow.

Application

a) Have I ever tried to go my own way, apart from the Light?
What was the result?

b) How can this verse help me remember the importance of staying close
to Jesus?

Moncton, followed by Fredericton and Saint John, each have a growing Muslim
population in New Brunswick, In 2007, the building that was formerly a Baptist
church was converted into Moncton's 1st mosque. The University of Moncton
also has a Muslim student association hosting prayer services, fellowship
getherings, and outreaches on campus.
Fredericton also has one mosque and a Muslim student association serving the
campuses of the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University.
Fredericton's Muslim population consists in 2014 of about 50 families,
and between 300 to 400 university students.
Saint John is home to the 1st Muslim Association for the province,
which also helped foster the Islamic associations of Fredericton and Moncton.
a 'musalla', or prayer location that is not officially structured as a mosque,
has been established in the Uptown area with the intention of seeing it grow
into a 2nd official place of Muslim worship. Demand for this new location has
been primarily for university students moving into the area.

Pray for Muslims and New Brunswick
- that the eyes of pastors, believers and entire congregations will be opened
to see this growing body of Muslims, and their hearts will be opened
to sharing God's love in Jesus Christ with them

- that intentional ministries to Muslims will grow and flourish in these
areas of concentration

- that cooperative CNNMM Networks will form to really, encourage,
and equip believers to lovingly reach Muslims in this province.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other,
"What does this mean?"
13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

Peter's Speech at Pentecost

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

"My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager, 
I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone,
2 (Ezr 6:10) for kings and for all who are in authority,
that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty,
3(1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and acceptable in the sight of
God our Savior, 4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all men to be saved
and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

II) Pray for the churches of the province,
that they would be lighthouses beaming forth
the illuminating truth of God's Word.

III) Pray that the Lord would use the Finding
the Hope Campaign and booklet to turn many hearts to Jesus 

Conclusion:

Pray to the Lord and to confess you sins and bear each others burden.

Pray to the Lord and pray a prayer of Intercession for your nation.

Pray to the Lord: "Heavenly Father, You know where my appetite needs 
adjusting. Please give me the courage and strength to make the necessary 
changes to grow in my love for You."

Pray to the Lord and pray to know Jesus as a circle of Light.

Pray to the Lord and pray to keep His covenant.

Pray to the Lord and pray to count your blessings.
