Unmatched Unity based on Ephesians 4:1-6

1 (Eph 3:1; Col 1:10) I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, exhort you to
walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you were called.
2 (Col 3:12-13; Ac 20:19) With all humility, meekness, and patience,
bearing with one another in love,
3 be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 (Eph 1:18; 2:16) There is one body and one Spirit, even as you were called
in one hope of your calling,

[1] I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy

A) God is One God

Ephesians 4:4-6

4 (Eph 1:18; 2:16) There is one body and one Spirit, even as you were called
in one hope of your calling,

B) We are One Body

Ephesians 4:3-4

Jeremiah 46

Judgment on Egypt

1 (Jer 1:10) The word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah the prophet against
the nations:
2 (2Ki 23:29; Isa 10:9) Concerning Egypt, about the army of Pharaoh Necho
king of Egypt, which was by the River Euphrates in Carchemish,
which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon defeated in the fourth year of Jehoiakim
the son of Josiah, king of Judah:
3 (Isa 21:5; Jer 51:11-12) Order the buckler and shield,
and draw near to battle!
4 (Eze 21:9-11; Jer 51:3) Harness the horses;
mount the steeds!
Take your positions
with your helmets,
polish the spears,
put on the armor!
5 (Jer 6:25; 49:29) Why have I seen them
dismayed and drawing back?
Their mighty ones are beaten down
and have taken refuge in flight,
and not looking back.
Terror is on every side!
says the Lord.
6 (Da 11:19; Jer 46:12) Let not the swift flee away,
nor the mighty man escape;
they will stumble and fall
towards the north by the River Euphrates.
7 (Jer 47:2; Isa 8:7-8) Who is this that comes up as the Nile,
whose waters surge about as the rivers?
8 Egypt rises up like the Nile,
and his waters surge about like the rivers.
And he has said, I will go up and will cover the land.
I will surely destroy the city and its inhabitants.
9 (Isa 66:19; Eze 27:10) Come up, O horses,
and rage, O chariots!
And let the mighty men come forth:
the Ethiopians and the Libyans who handle the shield,
and the Lydians who handle and bend the bow.
10 (Joel 1:15; Dt 32:42) For this is the day of the Lord God of Hosts,
a day of vengeance, so that He may avenge Himself of His adversaries.
And the sword will devour;
and it will be satiated and made drunk with their blood;
for the Lord God of Hosts has a slaughter
in the north country by the River Euphrates.
11 (Jer 8:22; Isa 47:1) Go up into Gilead and take balm,
O virgin daughter of Egypt;
in vain you shall use many medicines,
for you will not be cured.

city and the inhabitants thereof.
[9] Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come

Defeat of Egypt Foretold

13 (Jer 43:10-13; 44:30) The word that the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet,
about Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon coming to strike the land of Egypt.
14 (Jer 44:1; 46:10) Declare in Egypt and publish in Migdol,
and publish in Memphis and in Tahpanhes;
say, "Stand fast and prepare yourself,
for the sword will devour those about you."
15 (Isa 66:15-16; Ps 18:14) Why have your valiant men become prostrate?
They do not stand because the Lord has thrust them down.
16 (Lev 26:36-37; Jer 51:9) He made many to fall.
Indeed, each one has fallen upon another.
Then they said, "Arise and let us go back
to our own people and to the land of our nativity,
away from the oppressing sword."
17 (Isa 19:11-16; Ex 15:9) They cried there,
"Pharaoh king of Egypt is a tumult.
He has let the time appointed pass by!"
18 (Jer 48:15; Jos 19:22) As I live, says the King
whose name is the Lord of Hosts,
surely as Tabor is among the mountains,
and as Carmel by the sea, so he shall come.
19 (Isa 20:4; Jer 48:18) O daughter dwelling in Egypt,
prepare your baggage for captivity,
for Memphis will become desolate,
it will even be burned down without an inhabitant.
20 (Jer 47:2; Hos 10:11) Egypt is like a very fair heifer,
but destruction comes,
it comes out of the north.
21 (2Ki 7:6; Jer 46:5) Also her mercenaries are in her midst
like fat bulls,
for they also have turned back and have fled away together.
They did not stand their ground
because the day of their calamity has come upon them,
even the time of their punishment.
22 (Isa 14:8; 29:4) Its sound goes along like a serpent,
for they march on as an army,
and come against her with axes,
as choppers of wood.
23 (Jdg 7:12; 6:5) They have cut down her forest,
says the Lord.
Surely it will not be found any more,
even though they are now more numerous than the grasshoppers,
and are innumerable.
24 (Jer 1:15) The daughter of Egypt has been humiliated;
she has been delivered into the hand of the people of the north.
25 (Ex 12:12; Isa 20:5-6) The Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel,
says: See, I will punish Amon of Thebes, and Pharaoh, and Egypt,
with their gods and their kings, even Pharaoh and all those who trust in him.
26 (Jer 44:30; Eze 32:11) And I shall deliver them into the hand of those
who seek their lives and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon
and into the hand of his servants. But afterwards it will be inhabited,
as in the days of old, says the Lord.

[13] The word that the LORD spake to Jeremiah the prophet, how
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come and smite the land of Egypt.
[14] Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in
Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword shall devour
round about thee.
[15] Why are thy valiant men swept away? they stood not, because the LORD
did drive them.
[16] He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise,
and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from
the oppressing sword.
[17] They did cry there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath
passed the time appointed.
[18] As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as

because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their
visitation.
[22] The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an
army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
[23] They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be
searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
[24] The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into
the hand of the people of the north.
[25] The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the
multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings;
even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him:
[26] And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives,
and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of
his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old,
saith the LORD.

God Will Save Israel

27 (Isa 43:5; Jer 30:10-11) But do not fear, O My servant Jacob,
and do not be dismayed, O Israel.
For I will save you from afar off,
and your seed from the land of their captivity;
and Jacob shall return and be in rest and at ease,
and no one shall make him afraid.
28 (Jer 4:27; 10:24) Do not fear, O Jacob My servant,
says the Lord, for I am with you;
for I will make a full end of all the nations
where I have driven you.
However, I will not make a full end of you,
but correct you in measure,
and I will not leave you wholly unpunished.

[27] But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel:
for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of
their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and
none shall make him afraid.
[28] Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee;
for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee:
but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet
will I not leave thee wholly unpunished. 

Jeremiah 47

Judgment on the Philistines

1 (Jer 25:20; Ge 10:19) The word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah
the prophet against the Philistines, before Pharaoh conquered Gaza.
2 (Isa 8:7-8; 15:2-5) Thus says the Lord:
See, waters rise up out of the north
and will be an overflowing flood,
and will overflow the land, and all that is in it,
the city and those who dwell in it.
Then the men shall cry out
and all the inhabitants of the land will howl
3 (Jdg 5:22; Jer 8:16) at the noise of the stamping of the hoofs
of his strong horses,
at the rushing of his chariots,
and at the rumbling of his wheels.
The fathers will not look back to their children
because of the feebleness of their hands,
4 (Am 9:7; Dt 2:23; Isa 20:6) because of the day that comes
to destroy all the Philistines
and to cut off from Tyre and Sidon
every helper that remains.
For the Lord will destroy the Philistines,
the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
5 (Jer 48:37; 25:20; 41:5) Baldness has come upon Gaza;
Ashkelon has been cut off.
O remnant of their valley,
how long shall you gash yourself?
6 (Jer 12:12; Eze 21:3-5 O sword of the Lord,
how long shall you not be quiet?
Withdraw into your sheath,
rest, and be still.
7 (Eze 14:17; Mic 6:9) How can it be quiet,
seeing the Lord has given it a charge
against Ashkelon and against the sea shore?
There He has appointed it.

Jeremiah 47
[1] The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the
Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.
[2] Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall
be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is
therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and
all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
[3] At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the
rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers
shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands;
[4] Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut
off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will
spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.
[5] Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of
their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?
[6] O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? put up
thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
[7] How can it be quiet, seeing the LORD hath given it a charge against
Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.

Jeremiah 48
Judgment on Moab
Isa 16:6-12
1 (Nu 32:3; 32:37-38) Concerning Moab:
Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel:
Woe to Nebo, for it is devastated.
Kiriathaim is humiliated and captured;
Misgab [Or the stronghold.] is humiliated and dismayed.
2 (Nu 32:37; Isa 16:14) There is no more praise for Moab;
in Heshbon they have devised evil against her:
"Come and let us cut it off from being a nation!"
Also you will be cut down, O Madmen.
The sword will pursue you.
3 (Isa 15:5; Jer 48:34) A sound of crying will be from Horonaim:
"Devastation and great destruction!"
4 "Moab is destroyed";
her little ones have caused a cry of distress to be heard;
5 (Isa 15:5) for by the Ascent of Luhith they will go up
with continual weeping;
for at the descent of Horonaim
they have heard a cry of destruction.
6 (Jer 17:6; 51:6) Flee, save your lives,
and be like the juniper in the wilderness.
7 (Nu 21:29; Jer 49:3) For because you have trusted in your works
and in your treasures, you will also be captured;
and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity
together with his priests and his officials.
8 (Jer 6:26) The destroyer will come upon every city,
and no city will escape.
The valley also will perish,
and the plain will be destroyed,
as the Lord has spoken.
9 (Ps 11:1; Isa 16:2) Give wings to Moab,
that she may flee and get away;
for the cities will become desolate,
without any to dwell in them.
10 (1Ki 20:42; Jdg 5:23) Cursed be he who does the work of the Lord
negligently, and cursed be he who keeps back his sword from blood.
11 (Zep 1:12; Zec 1:15) Moab has been at ease from his youth,
and he has also been undisturbed,
like wine on its dregs,
and he has not been emptied from vessel to vessel,
nor has he gone into captivity.
Therefore his taste remained in him,
and his scent has not changed.
12 Therefore, surely the days are coming,
says the Lord,
when I will send to him those who tip vessels,
and they will tip him over,
and will empty his vessels
and break his bottles.
13 (Jdg 11:24; Isa 45:16) Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh,
as the house of Israel was ashamed
of Bethel, their confidence.
14 (Ps 33:16; Isa 10:13) How do you say, "We are mighty
and strong men for the war"?
15 (Jer 46:18; 50:27) Moab has been devastated and gone up out of her cities,
and her chosen young men have also gone down to the slaughter,
says the King whose name is the Lord of Hosts.
16 (Isa 13:22) The calamity of Moab will come soon,
and his affliction hastens fast.
17 (Isa 9:4) All you who are about him, mourn for him.
And all you who know his name,
say, "How the strong staff has been broken,
the beautiful rod!"
18 (Nu 21:30; Isa 47:1) O daughter who inhabits Dibon,
come down from your glory
and sit on the parched ground,
for the destroyer of Moab
will come upon you,
and he will destroy your strongholds.
19 (Dt 2:36; 1Sa 4:16) O inhabitant of Aroer,
stand by the road and keep watch.
Ask him who flees and her who escapes,
and say, "What has happened?"
20 (Isa 16:2) Moab has been humiliated, for it has been broken down.
Howl and cry out.
Tell it in Arnon,
that Moab has been devastated.
21 (Jos 13:18; Isa 15:4) And judgment has come upon the plain country:
upon Holon and Jahzah and Mephaath,
22 (Nu 33:46; Jer 48:18) and Dibon and Nebo and Beth Diblathaim,
23 (Jos 13:17; Jer 48:1) and Kiriathaim and Beth Gamul and Beth Meon,
24 (Am 2:2; Jer 48:41) and Kerioth and Bozrah,
and all the cities of the land of Moab, far and near.
25 (Ps 75:10; 10:15) The horn of Moab has been cut off
and his arm has been broken,
says the Lord.
26 (Isa 19:14; 29:9) Make him drunk,
for he magnified himself against the Lord.
Moab also will wallow in his vomit,
and he also will be held in derision.
27 (Jer 2:26; Mic 7:8-10) For was not Israel a derision to you?
Or was he caught among thieves?
For each time you speak of him,
you shake your head in scorn.
28 (Jdg 6:2; Ps 55:6-7) O you who dwell in Moab,
leave the cities and dwell in the rock,
and be like the dove that makes her nest
in the sides of the hole's mouth.
29 (Isa 16:6; Ps 138:6) We have heard of the pride of Moab
(he is very proud),
of his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride,
and the haughtiness of his heart.
30 (Jer 50:36) I know his wrath, says the Lord,
but it is futile. His lies have accomplished nothing.
31 (2Ki 3:25; Isa 15:5) Therefore I will howl for Moab,
and I will cry out for all Moab.
My heart shall mourn for the men of Kir Hareseth.
32 (Isa 16:8-9; Nu 21:32) O vine of Sibmah,
I will weep for you more than the weeping of Jazer.
Your plants have stretched over the sea,
they reach even to the sea of Jazer.
The destroyer has fallen upon your summer fruits
and upon your vintage.
33 (Isa 5:10; Hag 2:16) Joy and gladness are taken away
from the plentiful field, even from the land of Moab,
and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses;
no one will tread with shouting.
Their shouting will not be shouts of joy.
34 (Isa 15:4-6; Nu 32:3) From the outcry of Heshbon even to Elealeh,
and even to Jahaz, they have uttered their voice,
from Zoar even to Horonaim and to Eglath Shelishiyah;
for also the waters of Nimrim shall become desolate.
35 (Isa 15:2; 16:12) Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab,
says the Lord, him who offers sacrifice in the high place
and him who burns incense to his gods.
36 (Isa 15:7; 16:11) Therefore My heart will wail for Moab like pipes,
and My heart will wail like pipes for the men of Kir Hareseth,
because the riches that they have gotten have perished.
37 (Ge 37:34; Isa 15:2-3) For every head will be bald
and every beard clipped;
upon all the hands will be gashes,
and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 (Jer 22:28; Isa 22:1) There will be lamentation everywhere
upon all the housetops of Moab
and in the streets,
for I have broken Moab
like a vessel in which is no pleasure,
says the Lord.
39 How it is broken down! How they have wailed!
How Moab has turned his back with shame!
So Moab will be a derision
and a terror to all around him.
40 (Dt 28:49; Isa 8:8) For thus says the Lord:
Look, one will fly as an eagle
and spread his wings against Moab.
41 (Isa 13:8; 21:3) Kerioth has been captured,
and the strongholds have been seized,
and the mighty men's hearts in Moab in that day
will be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
42 (Jer 48:2; Isa 7:8) Moab will be destroyed from being a people
because he has magnified himself against the Lord.
43 (Isa 24:17-18; La 3:47) Fear and the pit
and the snare will be upon you,
O inhabitant of Moab,
says the Lord.
44 (1Ki 19:17; Jer 11:23) He who flees from the terror
shall fall into the pit,
and he who gets up out of the pit
will be taken in the snare;
for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab,
the year of their punishment,
says the Lord.
45 (Nu 24:17; 21:28) The fugitives stand without strength
under the shadow of Heshbon;
for a fire will come out of Heshbon
and a flame from the midst of Sihon,
and will devour the forehead of Moab
and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
46 (Nu 21:29; Jdg 11:24) Woe to you, O Moab!
The people of Chemosh have perished;
for your sons have been taken away captive
and your daughters into captivity.
47 (Jer 49:39; 49:6) Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab
in the latter days,
says the Lord.
Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

Jeremiah 48
[1] Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto
Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is
confounded and dismayed.
[2] There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil
against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt
be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
[3] A voice of crying shall be from Horonaim, spoiling and great
destruction.

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

Joy was apparent in their voices as the high school choir sang the Argentinian
song "El Cielo Canta Alegría." I was enjoying the performance but couldn't 
understand the lyrics because I don't know Spanish. But it wasn't long until I
recognised a familiar word as the choir began to jubilantly declare, "Aleluya!"
Repeatedly, I heard "Aleluya," a declaration of praise to God that sounds 
similar in most languages around the world. Eager to know the background 
of the song, I went online after the concert and discovered the title 
translates "Heaven Is Singing for Joy."

In a celebratory passage in Revelation 19, we're given a glimpse of the 
reality expressed in that choral song-all of heaven rejoicing! In the apostle
John's vision of the future in the last book of the New Testament, he saw an 
enormous gathering of people and angelic creatures in heaven declaring 
gratitude to God. John wrote that the chorus of voices celebrated God's power 
that overcame evil and injustice, His reign over the whole earth, and eternal 
life with Him forever. Over and over again, all the inhabitants of heaven 
declare "Hallelujah!" (vv. 1, 3, 4, 6), or "Praise God!"

One day people "from every tribe and language and people and nation" (5:9) 
will declare God's glory. And with joy all our voices in every different 
language will shout together, "Hallelujah!"

Philip 4:13

of Christ who strengthens me.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Many of us live out self-fulfilling prophecies. We believe
what we tell ourselves - or what we have been told by others:
"You're stupid", "You're ugly", "You'll never amount to anything,"
"You can't do anything right."
We programme ourselves for spiritual failure as well.
"I just can't memorise Scripture," we say. "It comes and goes,
and I can't seem to get it to stay." Yet daily we memorise
volumes of information that is less significant than the
Scriptures - telephone numbers, identification codes,
songs lyrics, advertising jingles.
The answer to the dilemma of negativism is not positive
thinking, but right thinking - biblical thinking, according
to what the Bible reveals of God's perspective. God says,
"You are worthwhile. You are valued. You are loved. I created you
just as you are, and whatever I call you to do,
I will give you the strength to do it.
The context of Phillipians 4:13 shows that Paul had learned
this important secret of spiritual strength. Paul had known
poverty and plenty, trouble and victory. But he also knew
he did not have to let circumstances determine his response to God's will.
We need not be controlled by the negative messages life throws in our paths
- even those self-defeating pronouncements we make to ourselves.
Rather, we can respond according to God's perspective, with the
conviction that God has given us strength we need to meet the
challenges we face.

Moncton, followed by Fredericton and Saint John, each have a growing Muslim
population in New Brunswick, In 2007, the building that was formerly a Baptist
church was converted into Moncton's 1st mosque. The University of Moncton
also has a Muslim student association hosting prayer services, fellowship
getherings, and outreaches on campus.
Fredericton also has one mosque and a Muslim student association serving the
campuses of the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University.
Fredericton's Muslim population consists in 2014 of about 50 families,
and between 300 to 400 university students.
Saint John is home to the 1st Muslim Association for the province,
which also helped foster the Islamic associations of Fredericton and Moncton.
a 'musalla', or prayer location that is not officially structured as a mosque,
has been established in the Uptown area with the intention of seeing it grow
into a 2nd official place of Muslim worship. Demand for this new location has
been primarily for university students moving into the area.

Pray for Muslims and New Brunswick
- that the eyes of pastors, believers and entire congregations will be opened
to see this growing body of Muslims, and their hearts will be opened
to sharing God's love in Jesus Christ with them

- that intentional ministries to Muslims will grow and flourish in these
areas of concentration

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other,
"What does this mean?"
13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

Peter's Speech at Pentecost

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!
