John 6:22-71


Jesus the Bread of Life

22 The following day the people who stood on the other side of the sea saw
that there was no other boat there, except the one which His disciples
had entered, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with His disciples,
but that His disciples had gone away alone.
23 However, other boats came from Tiberias near the place where they ate
bread when the Lord had given thanks.
24 When the people therefore saw that neither Jesus nor His disciples were
there, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, looking for Jesus.
25 When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him,
"Rabbi, when did You come here?"
26 Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly I say to you, you seek Me not because
you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.
27 Do not work for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures
to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.
For God the Father has set His seal on Him."
28 Then they asked Him, "What shall we do that we may work the works of God?"
29 Jesus answered them,
"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."
30 Therefore they said to Him, "What sign do You show then,
that we may see and believe You? What work will You perform?
31 Our fathers ate manna in the desert. As it is written,
'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'"
32 Then Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say to you, Moses did not give you
the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven
and gives life to the world."
34 Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always."
35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to Me shall never hunger, and whoever believes
in Me shall never thirst.
36 But I told you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe.
37 All whom the Father gives Me will come to Me, and he who comes to Me
I will never cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him
who sent Me.
39 This is the will of the Father who has sent Me, that of all whom
He has given Me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up
at the last day.
40 This is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son
and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up
on the last day."
41 The Jews then murmured about Him, because He said,
"I am the bread which came down from heaven."
42 They said, "Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother
we know? How is it then that He says, 'I have come down from heaven'? "
43 Jesus therefore answered them, "Do not murmur among yourselves.
44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draws him.
And I will raise him up on the last day.
45 It is written in the Prophets, 'They shall all be taught by God.'
Therefore everyone who has heard and has learned of the Father comes to Me.
46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God.
He has seen the Father.
47 Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in Me has eternal life.
48 I am the bread of life.
49 Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and they died.
50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it
and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats
of this bread, he will live forever. The bread which I shall give
for the life of the world is My flesh."
52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying,
"How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?"
53 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly I say to you,
unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood,
you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life.
And I will raise him up on the last day.
55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
56 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father,
so whoever feeds on Me also will live because of Me.
58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not as your fathers
ate manna and died. He who eats this bread will live forever."
59 He said these things in the synagogue, as He taught in Capernaum.

[22] The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the
sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his
disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the
boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;
[23] (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where
they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:)
[24] When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his
disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
[25] And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said
unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
[26] Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek
me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves,
and were filled.
[27] Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which
endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you:
for him hath God the Father sealed.
[28] Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works
of God?
[29] Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye
believe on him whom he hath sent.
[30] They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may
see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
[31] Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them

[32] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave
you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from
heaven.
[33] For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth
life unto the world.
[34] Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
[35] And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me
shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
[36] But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
[37] All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to
me I will in no wise cast out.
[38] For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of
him that sent me.
[39] And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he
hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the
last day.
[40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth
the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise
him up at the last day.
[41] The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which
came down from heaven.
[42] And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and
mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
[43] Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among
yourselves.
[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
[45] It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God.
Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh
unto me.
[46] Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath
seen the Father.
[47] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath
everlasting life.
[48] I am that bread of life.
[49] Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
[50] This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat
thereof, and not die.
[51] I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of
this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my
flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
[52] The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man
give us his flesh to eat?
[53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in
you.
[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I
will raise him up at the last day.
[55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
[56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I
in him.
[57] As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that
eateth me, even he shall live by me.
[58] This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did
eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
[59] These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

The Words of Eternal Life

60 When they heard this, many of His disciples said,
"This is a hard saying. Who can listen to it?"
61 Knowing in Himself that His disciples murmured about it,
Jesus said to them, "Does this offend you?
62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where He was before?
63 It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life.
64 But there are some of you who do not believe."
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe,
and who it was who would betray Him.
65 Then He said, "For this reason I have said to you that no one can
come to Me unless it were given him by My Father."
66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked no more with Him.
67 So Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"
68 Simon Peter answered Him,
"Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69 We have believed and have come to know that You are the Christ,
the Son of the living God."
70 Jesus answered them, "Have I not chosen you, the twelve,
and yet one of you is a devil?"
71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
For it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve. 

[60] Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This
is an hard saying; who can hear it?
[61] When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said
unto them, Doth this offend you?
[62] What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
[63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the
words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
[64] But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the
beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
[65] And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me,
except it were given unto him of my Father.
[66] From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with
him.
[67] Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
[68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the
words of eternal life.
[69] And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the
living God.
[70] Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a
devil?
[71] He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should
betray him, being one of the twelve.

The Tradition of the Elders
Mt 15:1-20

1 (Mk 3:22) The Pharisees and certain scribes who came from Jerusalem
gathered around Him.
2 (Ac 10:28; Ro 14:14) When they saw some of His disciples eat bread
with defiled, that is, ritually unwashed hands, they found fault.
3 (Mk 7:13; Gal 1:14) For the Pharisees and all the Jews, unless
they wash their hands ritually, do not eat, keeping the tradition
of the elders.
4 (Mt 23:25; Jn 2:6) When they come from the market, unless they wash,
they do not eat. And there are many other traditions which they have
received and observe, such as the washing of cups and pitchers
and bronze vessels and dining couches.
5 So the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not live
according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"
6 (Isa 29:13; Eze 33:31) He answered, "Well has Isaiah prophesied
of you hypocrites, as it is written:
'These people honor Me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from Me.
7 (Mt 6:7; Col 2:22) In vain do they worship Me,
teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'-
8 (Ge 2:24)For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition
of men-the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do."
9 (Mk 7:13; Gal 2:21) And He said to them, "You full well reject
the commandment of God so that you may keep your own tradition.
10 (Ex 20:12; 21:17; Dt 5:16) For Moses said,
'Honor your father and your mother,'-
11 (Ps 118:22-23.) and, 'Whoever curses father or mother,
let him be put to death.'(Ex 21:17; Lev 20:9).
11 (Mt 23:18) But you say, 'If a man says to his father or mother,
"It is Corban," that is to say, "What you would have profited from me
is a gift to God," he shall be free.'
12 Then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother,
13 (Mk 7:9) making the word of God of no effect through your tradition,
which you have delivered. And you do many similar things."
14 When He had called all the people to Him, He said,
"Listen to Me, every one of you, and understand:
15 There is nothing from outside a man that by entering him can defile him.
But the things which come out of the man are what defile him.
16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."
17 (Mt 15:15; 13:36) When He had left the people and entered the house,
His disciples asked Him concerning the parable.
18 He said to them, "Are you so without understanding also? Do you not know
that anything from the outside that enters a man cannot defile him,
19 (Ac 10:15; 1Co 6:13) because it does not enter his heart, but into
his stomach, and goes out into the sewer, thus purifying all foods?"
20 (Jas 3:6) And He said, "What comes out of a man is what defiles a man.
21 (Jer 17:9) For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,
adultery, fornication, murder,
22 (Mt 20:15) theft, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness,
an evil eye, blasphemy, pride and foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man." 

[1] Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes,
which came from Jerusalem.
[2] And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is
to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
[3] For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft,
eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
[4] And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And
many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing
of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
[5] Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples
according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen
hands?
[6] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you
hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but
their heart is far from me.
[7] Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the
commandments of men.

as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

out into the draught, purging all meats?

Matthew 15:1-20

The Tradition of the Elders

1 Then scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,
2 (Lk 11:38; Col 2:8) "Why do Your disciples violate the tradition
of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
3 But He answered them, "Why do you also violate the commandment of God
by your tradition?
4 (Ex 20:12; 21:17; Dt 5:16) For God commanded, 'Honor your father
and mother,' (Ex 20:12; Dt 5:16.) and, 'He who speaks evil of father
or mother, let him be put to death.'Ex 21:17; Lev 20:9.
5 But you say, 'Whoever shall say to his father or his mother,
"What you would have profited from me is a gift to God,"
6 will be free from honoring his father or his mother.'
So you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.
7 You hypocrites, Isaiah well prophesied of you, saying:
8 (Isa 29:13; Eze 33:31) 'These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
and honor Me with their lips,
but their heart is far from Me.
9 (Isa 29:13; Titus 1:14) In vain they do worship Me,
teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'"
10 He called the crowds and said to them, "Hear and understand:
11 (Ac 10:14-15) That which goes into the mouth does not defile a man,
but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do You know that the Pharisees
were offended after they heard this saying?"
13 (Isa 60:21; Jn 15:2) But He answered, "Every plant which My heavenly
Father has not planted will be uprooted.
14 (Lk 6:39; Isa 56:10) Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind.
And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the ditch."
15 (Mt 13:36) Then Peter said to Him, "Explain this parable to us."
16 (Mt 16:9) Jesus said, "Are you also still without understanding?
17 (1Co 6:13) Do you not yet understand that whatever enters at the mouth

[5] But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a
gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;
[6] And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye
made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
[15] Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.
[16] And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
[17] Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth

heart; and they defile the man.

Paul in Athens

16 While Paul waited for them in Athens, his spirit was provoked within him
as he saw that the city was full of idols.
17 Therefore he disputed in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout
persons, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to there.
18 (Ac 4:2) Then some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him.
And some said, "What will this babbler say?" Others said,
"He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,"
because he preached Jesus and the resurrection to them.
19 (Mk 1:27; Ac 17:22) They took hold of him and led him to the Areopagus,
saying, "May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak?
20 (Hos 8:12; 1Pe 4:4) For you are bringing strange things to our ears.
Therefore we want to know what these things mean."
21 For all the Athenians and foreigners who lived there spent their time
in nothing else, but either telling or hearing something new.
22 (Ac 25:19) Then Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus, and said:
"Men of Athens, I ­perceive that in all things you are very religious.
23 (Jn 4:22; Ac 17:30) For as I passed by and looked up at your objects
of worship, I found an altar with this inscription:
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Whom you therefore unknowingly worship, Him I proclaim to you.
24 (Mt 11:25; Ac 7:48) "God who made the world and all things in it,
being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by hands.
25 (Job 22:2; Ge 2:7) Nor is He served by men's hands,
as though He needed anything, since He gives all men life and breath
and all things.
26 (Mal 2:10; Ge 3:20) He has made from one blood every nation of men
to live on the entire face of the earth, having appointed fixed times
and the boundaries of their habitation,
27 (Ac 14:17; Jer 23:23-24) that they should seek the Lord so perhaps

one of us.

or an image of the reflection of man.

but now He commands all men everywhere to repent.
31 (Ps 9:8; 96:13) For He has appointed a day on which He will judge
the world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed,
having given assurance of this to all men by raising Him from the dead."

some scoffed. But others said, "We will hear you again concerning this matter."
33 So Paul departed from them.

what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?
[20] For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know
therefore what these things mean.
[21] (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time
in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
[22] Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens,
I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
[23] For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with
this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship,
him declare I unto you.
[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord
of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
[25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
[26] And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the
face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the
bounds of their habitation;
[27] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and
find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
[28] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of
your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
[29] Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think
that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and
man's device.
[30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all
men every where to repent:
[31] Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world
in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given
assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
[32] And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and
others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
[33] So Paul departed from among them.
[34] Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was
Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

On my morning walk, I noticed that a vehicle was stopped in the road headed in
the wrong direction. The driver was unaware of the danger to herself and 
others because she was asleep and appeared to be under the influence of 
alcohol. The situation was perilous, and I had to act. After getting her alert
enough to move her to the passenger side of the car so I could get into the 
driver's seat, I drove her to a safe place.

Physical danger isn't the only harm we face. When Paul saw worldly-wise, 
clever people in Athens in spiritual peril because "the city was full of 
idols," he "was greatly distressed" (Acts 17:16). The apostle's innate 
response to those who flirted with ideas that failed to consider Christ was to
share about God's purposes in and through Jesus (vv. 18, 30-31). 
And some who heard believed (v. 34).

Seeking ultimate meaning apart from faith in Christ is dangerous. 
Those who've found forgiveness and true fulfillment in Jesus have been rescued
from dead-end pursuits and have been given the message of reconciliation 
(see 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Sharing the good news of Jesus with those under 
the intoxicating influences of this life is still the means God uses to snatch 
people from harm's way.

2 Corinthians 5:18-21
18 (Ro 5:10-11; 1Jn 2:2) All this is from God, who has reconciled us to
Himself through Jesus Christ and has given to us the ministry of
reconciliation,
19 (Isa 43:25; Mt 1:23) that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world
to Himself, not counting their sins against them, and has entrusted to us the
message of reconciliation.
20 (2Co 6:1; Eph 6:20) So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
were pleading through us. We implore you in Christ's stead: Be reconciled to
God.
21 (Ro 1:17; 1Co 1:30) God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we
might become the righteousness of God in Him.

[18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus
Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation.

Is 41:10

10 (Jos 1:9; Isa 41:13-14) Do not fear, for I am with you;

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God:

Beth had the same recurring nightmare: she was running along a cliff,
then she slipped, and fell headlong, into a bottomless ravine.
Falling, without control, without end, falling, falling, falling...
Beth's dream may be one many of us identify with. The sense
of losing control can be nightmarish, and we may fear falling
without end, without remedy. Financial failure may be the chasm
that we face, or professional disgrace. Personal relationships
may go out of control, and we look into a never-ending
ravine of pain and misunderstanding
But God says, "Don't be afraid; I am holding you up."
Like the father who helps his child learn to swim,
God holds us above the water. We may not feel his hands;
indeed, we may suspect that he lets us go just so we can
do it on our own. But he promises that he doesn't let go.
"I am with you." he declares. "I give you strength
and hold you up."
God's promise never to let go takes on new meaning
in a world where relationships are temporary and life is
uncertain. We do not need to fear, for he is with us.
We can relax and stop striving, for he is our God.
His strength becomes ours; amid all our sin and rebellion,
he undergirds us with his righteousness. We cannot fall,
for he holds us firm.

Charlottetown does not currently (fall 2014) have a local CNMM network.
Pray with us for God's people to come together in reaching Muslims
cooperatively across denominational and organisational lines.

More than 200 attended the Eid festival at the end of Ramadan, the Islamic
month of fasting during daylight hours and the reading of the Qur'an, at
the Dar as-Salam mosque in 2014. This second mosque established
in Charlottetown, the other being the Muslims Association of PEI.
As of mid-2014,there are between 250 to 300 families, mostly in Charlottetown.

The Muslims of Charlottetown see their community as symbolically important
for this nation since this is known as the "birthplace of Canada". Yet we were
established as the "Dominion of Canada" with an appeal not only to
monarchial authority, but even more to God's higher Biblical authority as
shown in Psalm 72:8, "May he have dominion from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth."
Let us intercede together for:

- the growing Muslim population of Charlottetown and spreading
outward through PEI to encounter the Prince of Peace.
- believers to have faith and vision to reach out to the Muslim Community
in contextual ways to share the Gospel
- churches and ministries to rise up in wisdom, knowledge and understanding,
giving and training, coaching and encouragement to believers reaching
out to Muslims locally.
- a prayer movement to be established, feeding a growing move of Yahweh's
Spirit in His churches and people , and an awakening an openness
and spiritual hunger in Muslims for relationship with the Father
through the Son.

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month
and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days
of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that
usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and,
of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be
decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the
distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of
Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you
know, and Muslims around the world:
- Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions
in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about
unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such
movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three
decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim
relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other,
"What does this mean?"
13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

Peter's Speech at Pentecost

14 (Ac 1:26) But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice
and said to them, "Men of Judea and all you who dwell in Jerusalem,
let this be known to you, and listen to my words.
15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose,
since it is the third hour of the day.
16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 (Isa 44:3; Ac 10:45) 'In the last days it shall be,' says God,
'that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

- Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective
discipleship movements among Muslim people.

- Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for
Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a
hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the
house."

Ideas for prayer

- Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
- Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving
Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
- When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims
throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, atheists, secular humanists, ...)

Pray to the Lord and pray to know His abundant blessings.

Pray to the Lord and pray to know Him as refuge.
