Psalms 121
A Song of Ascents.
1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills,
from where does my help come?
2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.

He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Behold, He who guards Israel

The Lord's Favour

and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 (Ex 19:6; Isa 66:21) But you shall be named the priests of the Lord;
men shall call you the ministers of our God.
You shall eat the riches of the nations,
and in their glory you shall boast.

Rose Turner, a fashion psychologist at the London College of Fashion, studies 
the impact clothing has on how people think, how they behave, and even how 
clothes affect their mood. As the closest thing to our bodies, clothing forms 
a type of "second skin" and girds us for whatever the day might hold. For 
example, donning professional attire can "help with motivation 
and concentration" at work, and wearing vintage pieces with sentimental 
value can bring comfort during stressful situations.

This psychological phenomenon offers an insight into Isaiah's prophetic words
about Jesus' sacrificial act. He records the future deliverance of the Jews 
from their captivity in Babylon, assuring them they would one day "rebuild 
the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated" in their absence 
(Isaiah 61:4). In that day, they would 
wear "a robe of his righteousness" (v. 10).

Isaiah's prophecy was fulfilled first in the nation's return to Jerusalem 
and then fully when "God made [Jesus] . . . sin for us, so that in him 
we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21). Righteousness 
describes our right relationship with God when we trust in Christ's sacrifice.
God doesn't see us outfitted in shame or disgrace because of our sin; instead,
He sees us clothed in Jesus' enduring righteousness - a "second skin" that 
girds us with joy today and for eternity.

Week 3 - Saved Now and forever Day 7 - The Great Exchange

2 Cor 5:21 - God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

People were talking ; the gossip lines were busy day and night.
Andrea, a Bible study leader and pillar of the church, had been
accused of indiscretion with a married man, another member
of the congregation. The rumours were proven untrue,
but that hardly mattered anymore. The damage was done.
"It's just not far," Andrea said. " It was all so unnecessary.
And now, even though I've done nothing wrong, my relationship
with that church will never be the same again."
We all know what pain is caused by undeserved accusation,
rejection, and misunderstanding. Sometimes, when the smoke clears,
irreparable damage has been done, even when no sin has occurred.
We can understand the torment that comes when we've sinned,
but when we've done nothing wrong, the injustice seem unbearable.
Jesus knew what it was to suffer unjustly. He had never sinned at all,
yet he 'became sin' for us. He gave himself in an outrageous exchange:
he took our sin and gave us his righteousness.
Living in this exchange does not mean, of course, that we will be exempt
from pain, that we will never again suffer unjustly or be subject
to rejection. But in Christ, we are declared righteous before God,
just as Jesus himself is righteous. And as we submit
to the Holy Spirit's work in us, we become righteous ,
obeying him and growing in grace. Christ endured rejection
for us so that we might live in him.

Application

a) Have I ever suffered unjustly or been rejected by someone without cause?

b) How can this verse, coupled with my own experience give me a greater
depth of appreciation of what Christ suffered for me?

Manitoba 2015 population  1 282 000

est Muslim Population      21 349

CNMM Networks: Winnipeg

The Muslim population of Manitoba, understandably centred in Winnipeg, is very
diverse and represents some 48 different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. 
Conservative estimates put their number at 21000 , with some suggesting 
it might be twice that size.
Some outreach among Muslims has started, yet in comparison to the size 
of this community, there is the need and opportunity for far more engagement.
Continued influx of new immigrants and refugees continues to see the growth
of this Muslim centre in Manitoba. 
We rejoice in the Arabic fellowship meeting there and the energetic workers
among Muslims in Winnipeg.

Let us intercede in unity for:

- new Christian workers among Manitoba's growing Muslim population
- new church ministries focused on prayer, equipping and reaching Muslim 
  communities around them, as well as training new workers
- the Arabic fellowship and their ministries of discipling new Muslim
  background believers and for effectiveness in outreach
- for the recent Somali woman who found faith  in Jesus and stood her ground
  in the face of opposition to her new faith.
- for current workers among Muslims to be blessed, refreshed and encouraged
   with great support

How can we keep praying?

Pray for Muslims you know and those that live around you.

Ask those who are serving Christ among 
Muslim people how you can pray for them.

When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray
for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also 
participate in 30 Days.

What should you pray for?

Pray for the leaders of Muslim-majority nations to pursue peace and freedom
in the places they govern.

Pray for Muslim groups, tribes and communities in different regions to have
access to the gospel and respond to the message of Christ.

Pray for families and individuals to know the blessings of God and to be
saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further
call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity
(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .

Agree in prayer with us for:
- new Christian workers among Manitoba's growing Muslim population
- new church ministries focused on prayer, equipping and reaching Muslim 
  communities around them, as well as training new workers
- the Arabic fellowship and their ministries of discipling new Muslim
  background believers and for effectiveness in outreach
- for the recent Somali woman who found faith  in Jesus and stood her ground
  in the face of opposition to her new faith.
- for current workers among Muslims to be blessed, refreshed and encouraged
   with great support

Pray for Muslims you know and those that live around you.

Ask those who are serving Christ among 
Muslim people how you can pray for them.

When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray
for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also 
participate in 30 Days.

Pray for the leaders of Muslim-majority nations to pursue peace and freedom
in the places they govern.

Pray for Muslim groups, tribes and communities in different regions to have
access to the gospel and respond to the message of Christ.

Pray for families and individuals to know the blessings of God and to be
saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.

Pray the the Holy Spirit will influence our governmental leaders
as they make vital decisions that shape Society

Pray that Christian in the Central African Republic who have suffered severe
persecution will be healedfrom their trauma.

Pray to the Lord that to know the Holy Spirit.
and Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness
