How so? > >What exactly is The End? Aren't there things that >have to come first like the rapture, the Tribulation, >and the millenial kingdom? The Rapture is a misinterpretation of 1 Th 4:17: Not everything in the Bible has as its target everyone. Sometimes it is only certain classes of people, or even OT enemy nations. For example, the Bible tells us that humans (flesh and blood) cannot get into Heaven. (1 Co 15:50) Thus any 'rapturing' going on would likely be invisible to human eyes, since they would have to shed their physical bodies in order to get into Heaven. And that is what they do in vs 51,52. But even if the 'rapture' was real, will ALL the righteous humans be 'raptured' away to Heaven? No not at all. God's word the Bible says that there will also be righteous people living forever right here on the earth, as the following scriptures reveal. Mt 5:5, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." (NIV) God created this beautiful earth to have people on it. Thus not ALL good people will leave the earth and go to Heaven. Isa 45:18, "For this is what the LORD says-- he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited--..." (NIV) Ps 37:29, "The upright will have the earth for their heritage, and will go on living there for ever." (The Bible in Basic English) Thus that Thessalonians Scripture is targeted only for those who go to Heaven. And that is a finite number; 144,000. (Rev 14:1; 7:4) As we can see above, not ALL the righteous will go to Heaven. Many will be living on a cleansed earth. But what will those who go to Heaven do? They will assist Jesus in judging those living on the earth. They are called "priests" and "kings". (Rev 20:6) > >And after all that, there's the New Creation with no >more sorrow & so forth. That's endless, right? After the wicked are removed from the earth, yes. > >What is "The End" the end of? The Bible talks about several "ends". Some even happened in the 1st century. The Great Tribulation starts the final end of this wicked world. And there is a prophecy telling us what to look out for: -- New King James 1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, "Peace and safety [security]!'' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. [brackets mine] > >TIA. Your welcome. Fight off sicknesses. What can be done.
