I am looking for a new newsagent but I'm not sure it's worth learning
Emacs in it's entirety just for a good news agent.

I currently use claws-mail and it's news capabilities really is a turd.
It can't even hide messages because the mail doesn't exist in a local
spool but NNTP is treated much like IMAP.

I'm wondering if there is a mail client where something like
spamassisin or rspamd can be used to do spam/ham scoring such as your
described. Perhaps it's worth running my own INN server?
