Review: McPhat Studios' World Airliners 3 and 4 for Level-D 767
If you are a fan of the Level-D 767, one of the most realistic and popular =
add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX), you might be interested in =
enhancing its appearance with some high-quality liveries from McPhat Studio=
s. McPhat Studios is a well-known developer of aircraft repaints and textur=
es for various flight simulators, and they have released two livpacks for t=
he Level-D 767: World Airliners 3 and World Airliners 4.

World Airliners 3 and 4 are collections of liveries for the Level-D 767, fe=
aturing some of the most famous and iconic airlines in the world, such as A=
merican Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, Qantas, Unit=
ed Airlines, and many more. Each livpack contains 25 liveries, covering bot=
h the -300ER and -F variants of the 767. The liveries are designed with hig=
h-resolution textures (up to 4096x4096 pixels), realistic reflections, dirt=
effects, and accurate details. The livpacks also include custom wing views=
 and night lighting effects.

The installation process is very simple and straightforward. You just need =
to run the installer, select the livpack you want to install, and enter you=
r Level-D 767 serial number. The installer will automatically detect your F=
SX folder and add the liveries to your aircraft selection menu. You can als=
o use the Level-D Repaint Manager to manage your liveries and switch betwee=
n them easily.

The quality of the liveries is outstanding. The textures are crisp and clea=
r, the colors are vibrant and realistic, and the logos and markings are acc=
urate and well-placed. The liveries also capture the subtle differences bet=
ween the real-world aircraft, such as the engine types, antenna locations, =
door configurations, and winglets. The reflections and dirt effects add to =
the realism and immersion of flying the Level-D 767. The night lighting eff=
ects are also impressive, with realistic strobe lights, landing lights, log=
o lights, and cabin windows.

The performance impact of using these liveries is minimal. I did not notice=
any significant drop in frame rates or stuttering while flying with these =
liveries. However, if you have a low-end system or a limited amount of VRAM=
, you might want to lower your texture resolution settings in FSX to avoid =
any potential issues.

Overall, I highly recommend World Airliners 3 and 4 for Level-D 767 users w=
ho want to enhance their flying experience with some stunning liveries. McP=
hat Studios has done an excellent job in creating these livpacks, and they =
are well worth the price. You can purchase them from various online stores =
such as SimMarket or FlightSim Store for around $20 each.

One of the advantages of using World Airliners 3 and 4 is that they are com=
patible with the Level-D 767 Service Pack 3, which was released in 2019 and=
added several improvements and features to the Level-D 767, such as PBR ef=
fects, dynamic lighting, rain effects, and cockpit shadows. The livpacks al=
so work well with other add-ons and enhancements for the Level-D 767, such =
as FS2Crew, Active Sky, and REX.

Another advantage of using World Airliners 3 and 4 is that they offer a gre=
at variety of liveries to choose from. You can fly with some of the most po=
pular and recognizable airlines in the world, or you can explore some of th=
e less common and exotic ones. You can also fly with some of the historical=
and retro liveries that are included in the livpacks, such as the American=
Airlines Astrojet, the British Airways Landor, or the Delta Air Lines Widg=
et. You can also mix and match different liveries for different variants of=
the 767, such as flying a -300ER with a -F livery or vice versa.

The only drawback of using World Airliners 3 and 4 is that they do not incl=
ude any custom sound sets or flight models for the Level-D 767. You will ha=
ve to use the default ones that come with the Level-D 767 or look for other=
add-ons that provide them. However, this is not a major issue, as the defa=
ult sound sets and flight models are already very good and realistic.
